What was his wroke rate against Hopkins and Kessler ? You act like he overwhlemed them like Lacy !!

The man goes life and death with most of the oppoenets that were B + or better yet he will **** who ? Some of you need to put down the crack !! The only person Joe ever embarrased was a horrible boxer in Lacy and thats it !! Joe was no monster ..Joe would be missing all day against Ward !

 

Calzaghe beat Bika better than Ward did.

Calzaghe would also beat Ward, the Boxing world (mostly alot of American's) are hanging off Ward's nuts right now. It would be a close fight but JC would adapt and win. He's no Carl Froch, Arthur Abraham, Allan Green, or Mikkel Kessler. His ring IQ was probably better than all those fighters combined, he's also the most physically gifted.

 

And Ward is no Lacy ,Kessler or Veit or Manfredo ! Its a pickem fight !

And Ward dominated Kessler, Green, Abraham and Kessler. It's not like the guy had a tough time with these guys. He was way above their skill level. His most competitive fight was with Bika, but he still won that one 8-4 fighting Bika's fight for the 1st half of the fight.

I would pick Ward to get it done in a close one.

 

Much easier than Joe did ..And that opponenet is Joe's 2nd biggest win on his resume yet people want to talk about Bika

 

He did beat Kessler easier than Joe did.

You could make the argument that Joe beat a 'Peak' Kessler, an unbeaten fighter always has that air of confidence that they're untouchable, and they fight better as a result. History is littered with fighters who were not the same after their first loss. Teaching a guy how to lose, is much more difficult than simply reminding him.

 

Really? Ward is versatile, but when has he ever been clearly losing a fight, and adapted mid way through to win? Joe showed this quality more than once, notably against Kessler and Hopkins, two high quality opposition. Name me an example of Ward doing this against high quality opposition, or ever.

Common opponents of theirs are Kessler and Bika, Joe beat them both more impressively than Ward when they were younger and prime, and Joe was in his mid thirties, Ward is 27. Joe adapted to Kessler's style, and figured out a blueprint. Ward already had the blueprint, and proceeded to put one of the most disgraceful shows of headbutting and foul play you'll ever see, as I said, he would have been disqualified anywhere but in jOakland.

I like Andre Ward, but he's being over-hyped on these boards now.

How do you get over hyped by winning the super 6 and going undefetaed in the tourney against A level comp ? If anyone knows anything about over hype its Calzaghe fans !! The man is the epiotme of over hyped !

Over hyped Ko'es and Resume ! And Joe did not beat Kessler more convincing than Ward have you watched both fights ?? Come on now ! Ward didn't have to adapt aginst A level fighters because he beat them soundly ..Joe had to make adjutsments in the Kessler fight yet he beat him more convincing than Ward ? Please review those fights again !
