I am a fan of both guys and I have always said that I never wanted to see this fight because I hate to see my favourite fighters square up.

I am curious how many Pac fans want to see the fight and how many Floyd fans want it to happen. Why and why not?

    Poll to follow

im a fan of both and definitely want to see it. I really dont think mayweather wanted it until pac had a bad performance vs jmm.

even now im not sure he really wants it. i think hes making noise and using pacs name to sell his cinco de mayo fight against an amigo.

it would have been at its peak after pac destroyed cotto. pbf kept putting up road blocks in negotiations.

I always thought Arum did not want this fight to happen. PBF is to high of a risk and not enough reward (he can make a lot more fighting in house fighters) for the fight to happen. I think (especially in hindsight) the OSDT was a way for Bob to get out of the fight. The more I see the way things have been breaking down it is clear the reluctance has always been on the side of TEAM PAC. In the past it was easy to make PBF out to be the bad guy.

I have always said that this is a business and every fighter and their team must make the best decision to maximize the amount of money they can make. If team Pac thought they could win they would have agreed to OSDT 2 years ago (not in 2011) . . . what has changed on that front?

"Arum is a dick" is the most truthful answer but ... :think

I just want to see the best fight the best. Not fighters getting hyped because since there are more divisions they win more belts vs. old, limited opposition. Wanna see the pretenders get put in their place.

I feel the same as ElChivito here. That's what I want to see, the best fight the best while they are at their best. Not after one has slipped and is looking vulnerable, no.

Right now they are both on top of their game, that's when they should be fighting.

I'm a fan of the skills of Mayweather and his ring IQ. I very much enjoy watching Pacquiao fight, he brings plenty of action and excitement to all his fights. I would really like to see them fight this year and feel that Arum is mostly to blame at the moment for the fight not happening.

I respect both guys even though their fans are annoying.. Floyd will completely school Pac so I'm not as desperate to see this fight as the general public, but I would stream it.

There are other great match ups and fighters in their prime. Pac and Floyd lack of desire to make the 'historic' fight is disgraceful. The fanboys will point one fighter or the other but they are obviously both to blame. I would watch a Rios-Maidana match up with the same excitement.

Floyd's been my favorite boxer since I saw a fight of his live back in the late 90's and the time I got to meet him. I really like watching Pac fight but I wouldn't call myself a fan of his. Regardless of all the bull**** these 2 camps have made out of these negotiations I will always be very interested in watching the fight.
