now if the "hatman" had not correctly spotted the mistake on the scoreard which was a 10-10 changed to the correct 10-8 in favor of peterson.

Khan would have won the fight.

would khan and his team give a rematch to peterson if the mistake was pointed out after the fight??

NO NO NO...not a chance in hell , you know it , i know it and GBP know it.

Well, it would have been corrected because it wouldn't have tallied with the IBF's master scorecard. It also would have been a completely nonsensical score for that round, since there was no way Khan could have "won" it.

thats what i mean...it was a mistake that was pointed out.

i honestly think the peterson camp just like many fans are fed up with khan crying.

its laughable really when you think that both presscott and maidana have both demanded a rematch but khan has said NO

I really hope peterson gets the pacquaio fight now...he makes a tonne of money and can still come back and defend his IBF belt

ps: do you think amir will fight maidana now for the WBA title as maidana is the regular champion?? or will he move up to 147

Khan won't fight Maidana, most likely. It's a difficult fight for him and he has already beaten him in fairness. I really don't know, or care, what he does next. I'm sick of the sight and sound of him.

The scorecard that has been repeatedly shown and shown is NOT one of the Master versions - it is NOT the one that Ameen helped formulate. It is TIME for every single news organisation to STOP using the card as some type of evidence that boxing is crooked. It is a card that has been copied from one of the three Master cards, I assume it is from the DC Commission card. The mistakes were, therefore, made by the person who copied the card...there is no evidence that the IBF, WBA or DC commission's Master scorecards had any of the mistakes.

    Adios.

Most people with a brain realise there was bo tampering, Steve. Sadly not khan and the shameful media who are desperate for a story.

Most people with a brain and having listened to Hat Man would realise that there was definately tampering, he admitted interfering with an official in the course of his duties.....the question is whether that interference had any effect in the outcome of the fight. Its a shame that Ameen and the WBA guy haven't been able to say their piece in a hearing as that would have completely cleared the air.

Steve - could you write an article on the BBC website or in the independant raising this point?

The British sporting press seem to take the word of Khans team as gospel. Its been one of the most ridiculous re-writing of sporting history since Ali gained those 2 minutes over cooper because of his ripped glove (5 seconds more like)

I agree. Welsh was never going to be at the IBF hearing though.

As much as I am not a Khan fanboy and his team really **** me off, all Ameen's interviews have done is convince me that something dodgy was going on. Shaefer makes a good point that his story is that a certified accountant couldn't add 3 9's. It could be big it could be small but something about this does stink. Ameen also has not really acknoledged that he should have been nowhere near the officials.

Not sure what it is like around the UK but anyone with any knowledge of boxing that lives in the NW/Granada area must be shaking their collective skulls at the Team Khan PR unquestioningly spewed out each day in the news.

To be honest the way its been portrayed up here is that Khan is some kind of moral crusader unearthing and fighting against the ill and evils of a corrupt industry.

Team Khan couldnt give two sh*&ts what damage they do to the image of boxing as long as they get their own way after dropping a bollock inside and outside of the ring.

It's genuinely sickening, one one has to see the reaction of "Khan fans" to see how ******ed its all become.

Just this morning we have had the following peaches -

"because peterson lost in moral grounds!!

    Petersons a *****

He's Scared Mate He Needed An Extra Man , Just Batter Yournext Opponant and He Might Admit He's Scared #Real Fighter

Peterson is appealing cause he is scared and knows you will knock him out this time. You were so robbed.

Amir i watched the fight,i think peterson is scared......

the whole episode is a disgrace and the injustice is there for the world to see #fightback

Lamont Petersen lodging an appeal against a rematch with @AmirKingKhan tells me he was in on that fraud of a fight! Scandalous!!!"

Sometimes it makes you wonder about peoples intelligence. Khan reminds me of the type of guy that gets caught drink driving three times over the limit but then tries to get off because the Police officer wasnt wearing his helmet when he approached the car.

p.s. I notice Khan has deleted threat to "never fight for an IBF title again"

Says the **** who doesn't see anything in the least bit strange about what amounts to a member of the general public parking his arse next to and telling a WBA supervisor that he has made mistakes on cards, handles score slips and passes notes to judges. Thats interference by any measure. Even an arrogant numbskull like you can see that thats not what could be considered in any way normal practice.

Theres no evidence because there has been no investigation. Forget Khan,....but, if you were a fighter who had just lost your titles to a razor thin decision and you had then seen evidence of some non official at ringside interfering with the judging process wouldn't you at least ask the question and expect an answer? Of course you would. How Khan has gone about this, which is badly, doesn't mean that the points he has made are not valid.
