Time to move on from a May 5th Pac vs May bout.

What other fight makes the most sense for Mayweather come May 5th?

Update: So far Serge is dominating; Can the Sergio voters please comment on how Serge would be the best fight for Mayweather if both Khan and Canelo are bigger draws and both fight under GBP?.. Serge is the best fantasy fight, but not the best financial fight. He is also a more risky fight , especially at 154. Comments please.

The sad thing is its probably Canelo, and he's far too green

Edit: Make that Cotto if he isn't still Top Rank promoted

That's who I think he's fighting. Don't care to see it, but it makes the most sense.

I'm pretty sure Pac will be fighting Cotto next which is why I left him out.

Yup, Serge vs Floyd is not happening. Arum will give Cotto the Pac rematch so Miguel is more then likely out of the picture.

So you don't think Floyd was serious about fighting Pac?.. Why not?
I think Floyd was dead serious. I'm pretty sure he wants to make history before doing his time.

Arum and Pacquiao are pussies. All along people *******s fell for Arums charade that Floyd WWE SCARED of many of his fighters. Now that he's been exposed, I hope the boxing public demands both of their resignations. ***gots.

May 5th is too close.. It's suicide for them to jump into a Mayweather fight right after the war they're likely to have February 11th.

Arum's stalling, but the window hasn't closed yet; nobody has said "no" to the point beyond return.

The misleading thread titles on ESB keep dragging me through an unbearable emotional roller-coaster! Stop it I say!

If Floyd challenged Martinez everyone would stop talking about the Pacquiao fight for a few months.

not gonna happen, at least not yet.
TS is right, personally i would like to see mayweather against erislandy lara. i know lara wont win this fight but it would be great to watch and possibly pave the way for a rematch down the road.

:yep...Sorry bro. Arum has made it pretty clear the fight will not happen on May 5th

That's true.. Fighting Serge at 154 would be a much tougher challenge then fighting Pac.

That would be an interesting fight, but I don't think Lara is a big enough name yet.
