Everything u say is 100% correct so u must then realise its a fight between may and bob. They hate eacher and bob wont let floyd get the biggest figh or payday of hes career... Pac is just caught in the middle sadly :(

Its true but he choose himself to be in that position.
In the end he is responsible for his own career and Arum works for him, not the other way around.

This is true. It doesnt make sense that greedy Bob Arum is refusing his biggest payday:huh. Pac has matbe 2 or 3 fights left, He can call it quits any given time and Arum dont want to cash out?

I think this deal is getting made, doesnt have to be May 5th but they need to set a date.

I like this passive route of explaining things.

He will not let Pacquiao retire without facing Floyd, but he still wants to earn more on easier fights , because once Floyd beats Pac there will not be so much money to earn.

Thats because I could care less if Pac lose or any boxers for that matter. These guys are making enormous money, what fans think arent even in their minds so I look at this objectively.

Arum can have Pac fight Peterson, Bradley, Cotto, JMM and he may not make the same money as this fight. And theres no guaranteeing Pac has 2 fights left let alone 4.

Something is going on we arent privy to. And this problem between Arum and Floyd is plain B.S. I can put aside disagreement with someone for $25 let alone $100 millions.

Huh, Pac may retire this year and Arum, a greedy, cunning businessman lawyer is banking that Pac fights all these guys thru in 2015??

Thats like saying, I dont want to win the 50million lotto jackpot now because I can win 100m 2 years from now.

Exactly! This is one aspect of the whole saga that I don't quite understand.

If Arum is in it for the money, surely there's more to gain from a mega fight vs. Mayweather than another 2 or 3 matches against the likes of Cotto and Peterson? Even if Manny lost, the net revenue from a Mayweather fight, plus any fights he might have afterward, would probably add up to more than if he never fought Mayweather at all and notched up a few wins against back-up opponents. And anyway, how much longer are Pacquiao and Arum even going to be in the fight game?

I accept that I might be missing something here and am willing to be contradicted, but definitely agree that the logic doesn't add up!

I'm not gonna go as far and say I don't care if Pac loses but hey I'm with you. I pretty much have had a similar stance this whole time albeit in a more confrontational manner. Fight will get made eventually, too much money involved. Any decisions 'til then are business ones. I do agree both these guys have 3-4 fights left, so these inner-workings and promotional hagglings will straighten itself out eventually. That said, I do get drawn in to these admittedly petty back-and-forth who's-ducking-who pissing contests. If for anything, sometimes you do get a good laugh.

Food for thought, going back before Dela Hoya-Pacquiao had even started negotiations, Arum was flat out against it. People forget, but Pacquiao had to force Arum to make the fight. Bob, like most of the rest of the world thought Manny had no chance and that he'd just be giving his nemisis a pay day at the cost of his star fighter. Manny went all out to get that fight despite Arum dragging his fight and he proved Bob wrong.

And then again, Arum was flat out against Antonio Margarito fighting Paul Williams. So much so that I think Margarito took Arum to court (or had started to), and he too had to force Arum to make the fight. Bob was right about that one.

    Agree.

IMO, Floyd wins this almost toying with Pac, BUT **** definately happens in boxing sometimes and if Pac did win...OMFG he'd be Mega Star then, Tiger Woods (before he clowned out) big.

Nah Bob Arum thinks Pac COULD lose. It's a fight where the outcome isn't certain. Top Rank is great with matchmaking and predicting outcomes to fights. They do that on a world class level. They stay away from fights when the outcome is unpredictable

pac hasbeen fed a sucession of handpicked guys who showcase his limited skills, since the second Marquez fight! David Diaz for a lightweight title when Casamayor wasthe lineachampion ! Floyds lesftovers,Hatton and Mosley,[who pac had duccked three years previously !] A shellshocked Cotto , from theMargarito loss, and at a bull**** catchweight , and for a title ! A turtle in Clottey , who rumour has it was paid to take the loss ! And it looked like it ! An out of boxing for almost two years Margarito , coming ff a scandal and KO loss to Mosley! Got fooled after four years by a 38 year old Juan Manuel ''Dinamita '' Marquez , who they thought was over the hill and could not handle the weight ! A hype job, carefully matched and wellmarketed ! If him and his team man up and faceFloyd mayweather Junior, they will be embarrassed !Hence the lieng, ducking and bull**** ! a loss would ruin manny's endorsements, political aspirations nd big paydays against sub-par opponants !
