Who needs the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight more, Pacquiao or Mayweather?

Floyd needs it more for his legacy but right now it seems Pac needs it more if he plans to continue calling himself todays top p4p fighter.

They both need each other but since pacquiao is more of i guess a hero to fans, and have reporters blind by pacquiao nice guy thing and fight great fights, pac resumes i guess is better. Only true boxing fans knows pacquiao resumes is basically the same as mayweather resumes cause they both really havent beat many fighters for the past 7 or 8 years at their best. Pacquiao only fought 1 fighter that was at his best and was very good in marquez in which it was the 2nd fight in which mostly alot of ppl and boxing writers all thought marquez won that fight.

Pac is more active is selective fighting thats for sure.

 

The sport needed it a couple years b back, it will go down in history how both these bitches were more concerned with money and ducking, and how pac was "on the decline" and schooled by marquez who $ schooled.... This fight would have meant something after pac beat cotto. Just like SRL Marvin Hagler wasn't as m meaningful and can be argued why he lost or got robbed, Pac vs $ is on is way to becoming Hopkins Jones II

 

They both need that fight equally i think because of how big this fight is.

 

Pacquiao does have the better resume than Mayweather, but the higher percentage of people believe Manny is ducking and Floyd will win anyway

agree with this... mainly because pac has already fought some greats in his respective weight class e.g. morales, barrera

mayweather has always been dominant, but his best wins have come against good fighters not greats, like Corales.
If however floyd doesa dominate Cotto at 154 and beat Canelo... this makes things less harsh on his legacy but a win against pac would put him right in the top ten ATG

Pacman. Floyd can go on to face Martinez and he'll get the same or more respect than if he'd fought Manny. Floyd can face either one or both. Manny will never face Sergio despite facing Margarito so you bet Manny needs Floyd more than Floyd needs Manny.
