Neural boxing opinion or reason: why did Floyd not want fight in 2009??

2009? When he was retired or when he was fighting Marquez?

 

The aura of invincibility is gone. Everyone know boxing is mental sport first and foremost. The block is gone, Floyd's confidence is up now that Pac looks beatable for the first time in 5 years.

Funny thing is, there were some articles where they mention FLoyd possibly waiting until Pac looks beatable. At the time, I didn't think that would actually be the case. Guess they were right.

 

Does neural boxing involve headgear? With like gadgets and wires attached? Or is it simply about superior intelligence? If so, Leon Spinks is the GOAT

Pacquiao fought Cotto about 9 weeks before that article came out.

Pacquiao just isn't the fighter he was back then. he has too many distractions, especially regarding his political career. He's now a politician first, boxer second and it's the reason behind him losing a step or two.

He's still an elite fighter but if he was as good as he was in 2009, Mayweather wouldn't be interested in the fight.

 

He was never scared of Pac, he was scared of losing after the **** that happened in the Mosley fight. He even called Pac one dimensional after the Cotto fight

I don't know if he was afraid. Doubtful. Maybe more worried about looking bad in a loss. Floyd's image is his entire world. When you are that insecure, you worry WAAY too much about what others think.

 

They had all but agreed to a fight. The only thing holding it up was the blood testing issue. Now if you believe that Pacquiao really believes that a tablespoon of blood will weaken him for 3 days, and that Mayweather knew this(remember, Mayweather offered a 14 day cutoff and was turned down), then Mayweather avoided that fight. If you don't believe Pacquiao's laughable story about being weakened for 3 days, from a tablespoon of blood being taken, then obviously you have to blame Pacquiao for the fight not happening years ago.

 

That sounds scared to me . Anyways I agree with your first post. I think he took a page out of SSR vs Hagler, SSR waited until hagler was alittle vulnerable then he decided to fight him. Same situation with Pac vs May IMO.

 

I can see that. I guess i meant he's more scared of public opinion of him as a boxer as opposed to being scared of Pac. Floyd prides himself on his "0" and will do anything to keep it.
