If floyd is asking for more I can only suggest this is due to pac telling the public and media that he was willing to accept a smaller purse. Once again I can find you a direct quote of him saying he would take a smaller purse just to give the fans the fight they want to see, if this is the reason mayweather has stepped up the pursuit of pac thus far, why is pac now demanding 50/50?

Pac says one thing and does another, he is no different from floyd yet people act like pac **** don't stink and that he also ain't a greedy ****. Which is it?

Based on what? Pac - Marquez did way more then Floyd - Marquez and Ortiz. Ditto for Pac - Mosley. Pac's last PPV outsold Floyd's last by a good margin. Which means lately Pac is drawing bigger PPV numbers, and he's bringing in a ton of PPV revenue per year.

Didn't the majority of people see pac losing to an old marquez, making many of the casual fans feel that pac don't stand a chance against floyd. Pac's performance actually effected negatively the magnitude of this potential fight. Yes it will still make tons of money, but I have no doubt pac performances against mosley and marquez has at least somewhat decreased the interest in this mega bout.

Nice deflection you ****. It's a simple yes or no. Pac's last PPV outsold Floyd's last and it outsold Floyd against a common opponent, by a big number.

First, props to Money May for dropping dime. I'm glad he did it. I just get my enjoyment watching what passes for 'reason' and 'logic' in these threads.

Bottom line, Floyd called Pac to negotiate direct. Man to Man. Pac said ANYTIME if he gets 50/50. All else is irrelevant at this point. Both sides could fill a book with their inconsistencies. That isn't even debatable. So, let's not cherry pick one statement from here or there or anywhere. This is all old ground. We now have Pac on record as saying what it will take for him to make the fight. Equal money. If he gets that, according to the statement he gave, the fight is on.

This is really simple now. We don't have to speculate. Well, that isn't quite true. Record shows we can't quite trust any of these guys to remember what they said 10 minutes ago.

Didn't answer the question but you seem to be saying Pac should beat up Cotto again next so the fight becomes bigger instead of fighting Floyd?

Yes it did and it should have out sold Floyd's based on the opponent.

So you want to talk about common opponents now ok, here we go.

Floyd sold more versus oscar than pac did.

Floyd sold more versus Hatton than pac did.

Floyd sold more versus Mosley than pac did.

Pac sold more versus marquez than floyd did. (Note pac has had a trilogy with this guy)

No, Mayweather-Mosley did 1.4 million in buys. Pacquiao-Mosley did 1.3. Pacquiao-Marquez 3 did 1.4 million buys, but how much in gross sales?

None of this is relevant. May called Pac. Pac laid out his position. May want the fight or not? Pac won't be the one called "duck" if this fight doesn't happen because there was no 50/50. We all know that. Honestly, I'm surprised Floyd didn't have his answer to that on the phone. Obviously it is a problem for Floyd.

Never mention cotto in my post, thus I can't be suggesting anything of the sort.
If pac want's to fight a live opponent and reignite the major interest in this fight, then he needs to go out and do what he did to ricky hatton to someone like timothy bradley who is undefeated 140 champion.

The casual fans needs to see that killer instinct that sent shockwaves through boxing. When the world saw pac lose to marquez only to get the decision to keep the mega fight with mayweather alive that imo did more harm than good.
