Neural boxing opinion or reason: why did Floyd not want fight in 2009??

If he asked for a test it means he was hesistant, which also means he was worried about something. Even when Pac said he'd agree to the tests before Floyd gave other excuses: vacation, no urge, wants to help cancer kids, etc. Now he's all about fighting Pacquiao. I'm sure it's all a coincidence that Manny looked bad in his last two fights and Floyd is jumpign all over the fight now. But it's obvious that Floyd has also run out of opponents and can't make a big payday without him.

 

Cotto outboxed Mosley and, at that stage of their careers, was by far the better technician. He posed more of a stylistic threat than Mosley did and yet Pacquiao looked terrible against Mosley.

Even before Pacquiao reached his absolute peak, he put in a better performance against JMM than in their third fight. Are you honestly going to say that Marquez improved, when he was older and fighting at 147lbs? If not, then the answer must be that Pacquiao deteriorated. Not only is Pacquiao worse now than he was in 2009, he's worse than he was in 2007, before his peak.

This argument that Pacquiao has just been exposed and isn't past his peak, has absolutely no strength. He's distracted by his political career, has had medical problems inside the ring and out and if you can't see that he's physically deteriorated, in speed and footwork, then that is a reflection on you.

 

Was Manny hesitant and worried when he asked for catchweights, weight penalties from Cotto, Delahoya, Margarito and Floyd?

Didn't Floyd call out Pac before the marquez fight. Also didn't Ellerbe claim the can start negotiating because pac accepted osdt before the Marquez fight.:huh

 

Bull****. I'd bet cash money that a Canelo fight on May 5th outsells anything Pacquiao has lined up.

Pac had respect for Mosley's power and had none for Cotto.:deal He was able to run right through Cotto who has a history of retreating and falling apart when faced with adversity unlike Mosley who was always seen as a warrior with an iron chin.

 

Yeah, he said he'd give blood with a reasonable cutoff of a few days before the fight. Uncle Bob turned around and said "**** that, 30 day cutoff or we walk", and they walked. Bob killed the negotiations and Manny let him do it. How in the **** is that Floyd's fault?

 

No big paydays my ass. No, he can't get the money he'll get for a Pacquiao fight anywhere else, but neither can Pacquiao.

 

Most persons on ESB follow boxing closely but we all make mistakes sometimes.

To a neutral Fan these links prove Team Floyd was interested in the fight before the JMM III fight.

 

Maybe going into the fight but if you think that's the reason why Pacquiao looked so poor throughout the fight, you're not thinking straight. After two or three rounds, Pacquiao would have known Mosley just wasn't a threat and would have obliterated him, had he been as good as he was years ago.

He wasn't, so he didn't.

Any argument which suggests Pacquiao is even close to the fight he was 3 years ago is flawed. He's a 33 year old former 106lb pro, he has huge personal and financial distractions, the weight of the world on his shoulders, he's a politician who could be president, he's suffering from stomach problems, cramps and it's not long ago since he was talking about retirement. In the ring, he's slowed down massively, has lost his footspeed and can no longer fight at the frantic pace he once had.

That's why Mayweather will fight him.
