Because Mitchells trying to dictate what happens this time, which (if me) I wouldnt be happy with. This time he clearly wants it in Scotland

To be fair Frank is the man who decides and he has said he wants it at upton park.

Have a lot of respect for Burns if he sacks up and fights at Upton Park, hope he doesn't use it as an excuse to duck.

Doesnt matter where the fight is burns takes mitchell apart. Why should burns fight away from home hes the champ. Mitchell should come to him.

This is surely not just all about money or whats the point in fighting these guys do it to be the best. I want this fight in Scotland so we can all see Mitchell taken to school

Is Upton Park really feasible for this fight? It was only two-thirds full last time and Mitchell got smashed in three rounds. Since then he's only fought once in over a year-and-a-half. Ricky Burns isn't a household name. I doubt the demand will be that great, certainly not as great as last time. If it's in London, a normal venue with a smaller capacity like Wembley Arena would be more realistic, I think.

Personally, I'd like to see it in Scotland with a decent undercard, a Scotland vs England sort of thing. That would sell well. But obviously Burns needs to get past Moses first.

wind yer neck in FFS HH:D

Reasons for:|. Not Ricky Burns, love him to bits:happy, & will probably be there:good, its the saving pennies aspect that gets this tight scotsmans knickers into ye proverbial twist.

Braehead is 'in my city' as it were, but a taxi there & back will skin me fifty quid at least, whereas if it was at the Kelvin or SECC or some other to quote Amir Khan 'normal venue', its gonna cost me four quid tops due to good 'ole public transport.

£46 travel difference? I can do a lot with that 46 quid HH, & THATS why I think Im entitled to a moan! I used to moan about this place when Scotty fought there, so its nothing personal against the Rickster:yep

Braehead is the right venue in the wrong place is all I am saying.

PS folks, anyone who laughs at me for not adding (no homo) after saying I love Ricky Burns can **** right off:deal Its a sport thing. I mean, do you see football players shout NO HOMO at the cameras when they go one step further & kiss each other in celebration when their teams have scored?
Course you dont. So Im not going to (no homo) my posts. Who says old skool guys cant rebel against the brit ESB system:smoke

Also noticed they've put the ticket prices back down to forty quid for it (50 last time). Pleased with that.

I can see where Dunky's coming from, luckily I'm not that far from Braehead if I get a taxi, I'm only a baw hair from Kevingrove though, would have preferred the big arena in there.

    Why ?

It wasnt long ago that peole were questioning if he could move up and you only had to look at the size.....and hes still filling out.

As said, when Mitchell turned up to kats, it was a boy vs a man........thats with no disrespect then...........just look at Burns build in comparison to Kats.

Ok Mitchells gonna be fairly smaller and of course that dosent mean he cant win and i will repeat.........what area does Mitchell have an advantage ?

Inside fighting, for me will be nullified, at range, the same.

Workrate.......oh the same...........and oh yeah, add to that his conditioning and gym rat atttiude to desire..........again........in what area will and can Mitchel take points or nullify Burns work.

Defensivley, Burns actually keeps it simple.........step back, let him tee off then POW.

Dont get me wrong, its a defo 50/50 on paper ....but burns has his number.

    :bbb

Agreed dan but i dont think Mitchell has a say, as said before ......its Fwank.

Maybe he want to pull of the 02 coup like last time and fail.......maybe he has it prebooked, same reason i wondered wtf he had Simpson fighting Selby in the York hallon a Wednesday night in mid November...........why wasnt it in a Leisure centre in Wales.......something iffy there.....but thats for another day.

    Saving pennies ?

Without sounding like a fud, i made the journey down for Burns/Kats and tbh am feckn delighted at how this next fight has come about, i even walked back n forth to the weigh in.........5 miles there, 5 miles back and of course when i adorned ma suite etc for the fight itself i got taxi....these thigs have to be done...........and afterwards..........i was so jovial that i skipped ma way home the five miles after...........jusayn.

That was after the costs of flights n subs n trains yada yada and am far from well off.......point is, its in ya city, its a great opponent and if i remember right, a few were whinging it wasnt at home etc which is fair enough...........and now that it is......people is still crying.

Anyways, cant ya fone a friend or a relly to come pick you up ?

    Jusayn :good

PS. tell ya what, when am down.........you can grab ride in ma cab.

    Easys.

You dont sound like a fud HH, I do. when the 'how far will you go' to watch your favourite team, favourite fighter question is asked? The person who says that he wont go the extra mile is immediately regarded as the inferior fan. Its the way of the brit fan.

As a big mouth scottish boxing fan, I am expected to spend big bucks to back up my scottish boxing 'credentials'. & I wish I could HH, but at nearly 40 years old, & struggling in this financial climate? I make no excuses for having a moan about the Braehead. As for pals? I just wish I was as popular as your good self to have friends who would ride out to Braehead just to take my drunken ass home:lol:

Listen HH, I moan, but will probably be there. If I am? I will shoot some video on my phone.
However, I am speaking as the unofficial spokesperson of the floating fan who couldnt give a rats ass about Ricky Burns fighting a guy ranked above him n the Ring magazine rankings... & if its a big ask for me to turn up in the middle of nowhere, how big an ask is it of someone who couldnt give a **** about boxing...

The Braehead sucks HH my good man, & honestly derive no pleasure from saying so. Any negative post about my homeland is done with a heavy heart, but an honest one.

MIK is a good lad, & as honest as me. He knows my angle. Dont shoot the messenger bud:deal

Even if he is "a given" its still silly and dangerous to look past your next opponent. Ask kHAN!
