Can someone provide a source or link, where Floyd has asked for a larger than 50/50 split?

Not sure one exists. Just the inference that Pac is waiting to here back on that proposal.

I'm not saying it's unreasonable either. Fact is, both fighters can draw big numbers regardless of opponent.

I'm wondering where that is coming from too. As far as I remember, Mayweather was demanding more in 2009, I don't think he mentioned anything about wanting more than 50% now.

I'm just going off of Pac's quote. He basically said for 50/50 I'll fight anytime and said Floyd would have to get back to him on that.

Someone posted above that Manny had tried to get the fight by offering to take less at one point. Evidently that was still in play.

Then I guess it all comes down to Mayweather accepting that and getting this on IF the news is true of course. I won't be surprised at all to see Pacquiao come out claiming he never said that.

    Nothing would be surprising anymore.

Indeed. Though mark my words please, this fight will NOT happen. It MIGHT happen sometime later when either fighter is coming off a loss and the fight isn't as appealing as it is. But with both looking good and semi-unblemished(Marquez fight killed some in Pacquiao) the promoters(Arum and Mayweather) would rather fully milk it against other options than risk it all for one big money fight.

The fight will happen when they talk on the phone and both agree to a date and venue.

    Key word being both.

If you think Pacquiao is going to go out of his way because Mayweather ****ed up and caught a jail sentence think again.

Everyone knows this on the forum, they're just trying to play the blame game and score E-points.

In the end we all pick and choose what we want to believe sometimes, but I think this interview with Nate Jones has an air of honesty to it. He seems level headed and unconcerned with the typical BS surrounding the fight:

Nate Jones isn't Mayweather, just like Arum isn't Pacquiao.

It's a few simple sentences Ray. Try reading them again. They've been posted in this thread enough.
