Is there a legitimate reason why Bute should not accept a fight with Andre Dirrell?

Yeah, his objectivity is obvious when he calls the guy that struggled to make weight against Pavlik and now fights at LHW a middleweight.

Miranda is a LHW, and how do you KO a guy with 3 seconds left in a fight if he's up before any ref could count to 8.
When the ref began his count on Bute, HE WAS ALREADY UP and the FIGHT WAS OVVVVVVVEEEERRRR!

But yeah, Dirrel's loss to Froch was a winnable fight for him if he werent so scared to engage, and his win over Abraham is almost as good as Bute's over Brinkley.:deal

Yeah, and its fair that you have that opinion. I dont agree with it though :deal

Not sure if I understand you, but are you accusing me of being biased? If I was biased, I would have had Froch as the winner retrospectively, as Kessler beat him. I didn't even have an opinion about Froch at the time, and I didn't even know Dirrell, so have can I be biased?

Dick riding and badwagoning Alien? WTF? Just because I agree with him?

YOU are still the only source I have seen about Cortison and Vitali being a match. Sorry for ,e having gone to school and being teached critical thinking. How dare they make functional and aware citzens? :patsch

Bute should fight Dirrell only if by doing this he will get rid of those stupid ****s from SHO. Let this be a "mandatory" last fight.
He must sign with HBO fast.

I initially had nothing against SHO. It's their money so if they don't want Froch for Bute I'm OK wit it. The problem here is that they haven't offered a viable alternative. It's all on Bute's shoulders. SHO can say "NO" to any fighter Bute picks, even if he's in the middle of negociations with them. Bute's next fight will be in 2013 and that only after a legal process in which SHO asks back for ~4 mil $.

Dirrell has manoeuvred himself into the black sheep of the S6 tourney.
He stunk out the joint against Froch, bailed out against AA when it got tough (though it was AA's fault of course), avoided the Ward fight, has enormous disrespect for his own fans and hasn't beaten anyone of note in a normal fashion...

I for one don't want to see that guy fight anyone anymore, and rather see his brother Anthony (who's at least ranked high enough by the IBF) fight Bute.

So this brings up the most legitimate reason of all... The IBF doesn't rank André in their top 15 at all, so they won't even sanction this bout (they're not the WBA).

maybe he doubts the credibility of Dr. Shaw Hi and doesn't want to seriously hurt Dirrell.

i think Dirrell has all the tools to KO Bute... i also thought the same thing going into the Froch fight as a challenger...but somehow the game plan of fighting in reverse and like you said "refusing to engage" made for a bad fight and a legit loss as a challenger trying to WIN a title .

Compared to Ward or Froch he doesn't. A Ward or Froch fight is substantially more marketable [anywhere, not just QC] than a ****in Dirrell fight, from both Interbox and Showtime's perspective. Why would Showtime entertain unranked Dirrell facing Bute when they refused Froch?

    :rofl

    Way to spin it, champ.

Bute doesn't have a mandatory right now. Rafael said that Edwin Rodriguez and Donovan George might fight on March 17 and maybe we can think it's to be the mandatory challenger. And Adonis Stevenson is fighting Jesus Gonzalez for the no.2 spot.
