Rigo hasn't impressed me as much as he has others. Ramos should be able to hang in this fight, particularly since neither guy is likely to push it into a barnburner. I was planning on going to this fight when it was scheduled for New Year's Eve in Anahiem, but the Euro decided he didn't want a Cloud ass whipping and the card got cancelled.
He's not really fought anyone, his fight with Casey had opinions of who would win on this forum, the most united I've ever seen.
This is a horrible style matchup for Ramos and is far from being a pick-em fight. Unlike Cordoba who fights backwards, Ramos can be careless at times and often throws with his chin up. If he tries that against the best counterpuncher south of 135, he'll get hurt quickly. Also, it's very likely that this fight will be a complete crapfest. Rigo never presses the action, and Ramos looked really tentative against the last lefty he faced.
He fought like 700 times in the amateurs and nobody showed concern about his chin then either. Hell, most guys couldn't even hit him clean.
This fight open in las vages Rigo -165 now he is -390 to -425 that is a huge huge line change this is far from being a pick-em fight, Rigo wins this fight easy.
Allegedly he was knocked out cold in a sparring match at the Wildcard Gym against a complete nobody while wearing full headgear, wich convinced Roach not to train him. It might be a incident, but it also might not be, and Ramos has shown he can puch.
Im actually looking forward to this fight but Im gonna have to miss out for my bro and his wifes bday.. I havent seen Ramos fight but from his record I think the fight will be decently competitive probably Rigo by decision.
For your information Rigo wasn't " knocked out cold " , it was only a KD , he wasn't hurt or anything but he got tagged pretty good , Rigo is a complete boxer with a good chin but he wasn't focused on the sparring that day , and the reason he left Roach was because he felt he wasn't being given priority over other fighters Roach has in his stable . Watch the fight tonight and you'll see a fully motivated and focused Rigo take care of Ramos in less than 5 rounds . TKO/KO in 5 . Peace .:thumbsup
Been watching and going to see boxing for over 45 yrs and making a great living off of it, and the betting line can tell you alot if you know what you doing and that is a fact.
