UK's Haye keen to return to boxing London, Jan.20 : British pugilist David Haye has said that he is ready and waiting for the call to return to action.Haye, 31, hung up his gloves last October after dropping the WBA title to Wladimir Klitschko in July. According to The Sun, he made it clear he would be willing make a comeback should either Wladimir or the Ukrainian's older brother Vitali want to face him.Haye said: "These guys are busy for the time being, but I'm going to stay in the gym and stay in shape just in case the call comes. And if it does come, I will be heavyweight champion once again. My Thoughts: Of course he does, he wants another unwarranted payday! Thoughts?
I'm a big Klitschko fan, but I'll be disappointed in Vitali if he gives Haye an undeserved payday! Vitali should fight the winner of Pulev-Dimitrenko if he gets past Chisora.
Who gives a **** about that fraud. Only in it for the money and has no heart as a warrior. That fight with big nick and fraudley were a disgrace. Fraudley was a fix no doubt. Stay retired and keep that bull**** mouth shut.
I have to admit you are right on the money with my thoughts. But I think Vitali wants to KO Haye so the fight may happen. I would watch to see Haye hit the canvas and not get up. Peace
The HW division needs some excitement. What fights are out there, Klitschko - Mormeck? Klitschko-Chisora? Please come back Haye! I'll happily buy the PPV to watch him fight Vitali.
Dear Mr Haye, Please keep your word and stay away from boxing. Spare us any further embarrassment. Yours faithfully, Great Britain
If Haye wants to gain back any shred of respectability, he should fight Viatli FOR FREE. Nada. Zip. Gratis. Prove to the world he isn't doing it just for a big payday. Then actually FIGHT this time. ---------------------- Otherwise, stay retired you fricking loud-mouthed joke. Stay home, and admire your muscles in the mirror.
How can you criticise David Haye for being boring, and be a fan of the Klitschko's at the same time?!
Why would he fight a prospect and destroy his career early? Also, David Haye is undoubtedly a top 4 heavy (you could argue he's behind Povetkin), so it's pretty much the best fight that can be made for Vitali in terms of both opponent and money, so I am not sure why would you not want to see it.
I'm not criticizing for being boring but rather talking so much and not even having the balls to go for it when it mattered. The sad thing is Haye is a big name in the UK and many casual observers bought into his hype and are so disappointed by the lack of action that it reflects badly on the sport in general. Sky Sports plowed considerable money into Haye when they should have been supporting guys like Froch and Khan who are at the very least exciting.
