Why is noone talking about Paulie Malignaggi's title shot?

    Even though I don't like the guy because he is a complete tool (wearing "stop hatin" shirt to a press conference) and have criticized him on twitter on numerous occassions with him and Roger Mayweather as my main targets of choice (@CHAL_DIESEL)...why isn't noone talking about his title shot against WBA Welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko??

    Maybe because it's not exactly a mouthwatering fight?
    I used to hate Paulie but I have to admit,he's grown on me in recent years.I can understand if people question the title shot but he's been good for the game without being elite,so I just can't bring myself to resent him getting this fight.

    he has put a couple wins together in a row. I don't think he can be Senchenko though especially in Europe. What I like about it is that it will give Senchenko some exposure, and plus even though paulie has no power he does have some pretty good boxing skill

    Yeah Paulie is a good guy, but there are fighters who deserve the title shot way more. Jan Zaveck is one.

    I think he moreso is getting the shot on name then merit....but I think if he pulls off the win that would be great for him, because lets be honest he does not have power whatsoever, and if he is capable of grabbing a title at a second division(which I don't believe will happen) then he will of overachieved for his abilities in my opinion and we all love when people overachieve.

    Title fights are so common nowadays that they don't mean much.

    Thats true, but how many chances at the title can a man get?

    I don't want to be hating to much on the Magic man though, I respect his skills and the way he conducts himself in the ring (except that incident with the wig, or hair exstentions or whatever :D )

    Paulie is the man.

    I'm pumped for the fight. Either Paulie becomes a two weight titlist and gets a big payday ahead of him, or Senchencko does something which will finally get fans' attention. Senchencko is a good fighter.

    Because Paulie is a semi-elite fighter and Senchenko is an unproven belt holder.
