Is a win over Pacquiao enough to lift Floyd above Pac in the ATG rankings?

very nice-I believe I have presented more to you in terms of sources etc...:deal

I can only agree to disagree with you-but still think I got the better in the debate.

Floyd is already an ATG, not as high as pac imo though. But a win over pac and sergio, and i'll have him top 15.

:huh If you mean the vague reference to the other forums then I guess... and yet even if it were the case that polls were favoring Floyd currently it would only be because they're doused with disdain for Pac because of current events imo.

polls held during dull periods or when "negotiations" are not at their peak allow people to make sound calls and not curb their judgement when tensions are at a high point:deal

Its impossible to rank Floyd over Pac on a ATG list... Floyd simply does not have the resume.
H2h ability is nice and all but Pac dared to be great, Floyd dared to go on vacations.

Floyd became "Money" and took low risk high reward fights for years now.
If Floyd would have fought Pac 2 or 1 year ago when it mattered i think he would rank above Pac.
If he fights Pac in the near future even on a win he might still need a few more wins to rank ahead just based on resume.

You cannot be a top 30 ATG based on theoretical matchups.
He needs to actually fight people.

People that currently rank Floyd ahead of Pac are simply doing it based on h2h, based on resume theres NO EXCUSE for putting him ahead.
No possible logical train of thought can lead to that conclusion.

This is all loser talk. Just a way to admit the realization Manny will most likely lose.
I would've taken this posts serious had everyone mentioned something like this at least before the Marquez fight. When the fanatics (you know who you are) thought Manny was the second coming of Jesus.

    Top 15?

SRL has wins over Duran, Hearns, Benitez, and Hagler yet most people think he barely makes the top 20 and you think wins over Pacquiao and Martinez would move Floyd that far up?

Floyd may have been a big favourite but you have to embrace that Jane was the p4p #3 at that time after his win over margo.

Which fighters would you say floyd has ducked?

It's definitely much harder to put on a boxing clinic then to knock someone out.

Anyone can knock out their opponent whether it is a nice punch or lucky punch but their is no such thing as a lucky sublime performance. It's not comparable.

does anyone honestly think that if floyd beats manny and retires with his 0 in tact people will look back and rank manny higher? :rofl (regardless of if he fights martinez or not).

Who are these`most`people that barely rank Leonard in the top 20 ?... whoever they are I`ve never heard of them, I rarely see him outside a top 15 & he makes just about half of top 10 lists from what I`ve seen.

I have him 8th, tho I don`t consider fighters with zero or **** video footage so maybe about 12ish if your ranking Greb, Langford n co.

I wait until a fighter's career is over before deciding where to rank them on the ATG list. As of now, it's looking pretty even between them. I think both are somewhere in the top 50 and a win by one of them over the other would solidify their spot over the other one, pending the result of a rematch and/or rubber match.
