...and Suavecito is in his full-on prime, not a shot 36 year old Ali. :p

I was just showing off :D

You're right, but Ramos is not overly experianced himself so this fight is very interesting :think Haven't bet a dime.

a little. I think it makes them a little lazy though. I can tell with Gamboa, Rido, and Lara, they all just seem to fight lazy in the ring sometimes. I think maybe it's from their very good composure that they get too relaxed then in the amateurs they can build a big lead and just cruise.
Could be a stamina issue also since they have less rounds.

But obviously, there's some big upside

It's worth noting he wasn't the only one with a lengthy and successful amateur campaign (although his was indeed lengthier and more successful).

Ramos had over a hundred (115 maybe?), a hundred of them wins.

God damn I'm drunk. Where the hell is this fight taking place? I thought it was going to be tomorrow. I don't have the energy to find a stream so I'll be relying entirely on your comments. Hey, I write pretty good for a drunk. Especially considering English is far from being my first language. I'm rooting for the other guy. His name is slipping my mind.

Both their names are in the thread title, brother. :yep

Maybe a lot people had the mistaken feeling this was on tomorrow because it's the highest profile match of the weekend. The newly promoted main event on NBC Sports tomorrow since Chambers pulled out on Liakhovich (Gabriel Rosado vs. Jesus Soto Karass) is good but not exactly marquee.

It's unusual to have big names competing for a world title on Friday night, but none on Saturday.

I hope I'm wrong about Rigo never living up to his abilities. Not much more aggravating when following these guys when you know they're not getting close to the best of themselves.

By the fact that they've got two hours slotted out for a title bout.. (which is way too much time to not show anything else, and the rest of t.he card is 8-rounders or shorter...two hours fits 12 + 8 + 8 perfectly)

...and the fact that Showtime and most boxing sites have been advertising it as a triple-header. :yep
