I don't think it would take Hearns 3 rounds to get a legitimate knockdown on Cotto. He probably puts him to sleep in the first round seeing how vulnerable Cotto is to right hands, how overwhelmed he'd be by the size and speed, and how solid-chinned fighters like Duran and (at the time) Cuevas couldn't even last 2 full rounds with him.
