ShoBox: Guillermo Rigondeaux vs. Rico Ramos RBR

Another round, more action right off the bat. Guyy has Diaz on the ropes again. Robb being the aggressor so far in this round. They trade left hooks. Again Diaz backing up. Robb refuses to take a step back. Diaz needs to start using the jab. Much more tactical round, and on I think Guy takes.

47-45 Diaz

 

Diaz caught Robb with a hard right hand with about 40 seconds left in the round and I think he had him ready to go. Nobody realized it because Robb was leaning on Diaz.

 

You'll know when it you get there grasshopper.

46 - 46 Even

Robb took the round, both landing hard shots, but Robb dictated the action and where it occured, continue his assault to the body, while Diaz was content to simply take an occasional right but Robb comes back.

Round 6

Robb warring!! Diaz warring back! Right hands both ways, whistlers sailing high and crashing down with a bang. Heavy predictable shots, almost all getting a piece. The only thing that regularly misses is their jabs. Body shots by Robb. Left hook to the body by Diaz. Robb pushes Diaz to the ropes and lands a left hook to the cheek. Clinch. Break. 1-2 by Diaz. Robb stalks. Diaz circles left and jabs out high. Lead right by Robb, falling in and exposing his head. Diaz is slow to exploit. Body shots by Robb. Slower body shots by Diaz. Big right hand slap to the back/side of the head by Diaz, making a wet sound on impact. Robb keeps stalking until Diaz backs him off with a right hand. Wild shots by Robb - telegraphed and countered.

56-55 Diaz

 

10-9 Robb, but that round could really go either way imo. 56-55 Diaz.

 

Openeing the 6th Robb is throwing bombs. Diaz shoots a right that lands. More non stop punching from both guys. Diaz lands two shots to the body. Both guys should load up more to the body. Guy landing with Diaz on the ropes again. Diaz starting to look a little tire. Robb's pressure is starting to show it's effect on Diaz imo. Diaz still backing up. Fighters trade shots again, nothing major landing. Again they trade on the ropes, both fighters landing decent shots. This fight is getting brutal for both guys. Another close round, but I'm giving it to Robb.

56-55 Diaz

 

This is going 8, these guys are feeling the pace; and with good reason.

 

55 - 56 Robb

Robb is pulling away, his constant pressure to the body and the head looks like it is taking its toll. He landed hard and heavy body shots again this round while Diaz would land an occasional shot and then disappear.

 

I think all of us on this forum wish we were boxers...until we see **** like this. Then it's look deep within yourself time. "****, am I this hardcore?"

 

People have been saying it wouldn't go the distance since the 2nd! :yep Yet they are still there.
