the bottom line is the klit brothers to sum it all up ....... nobody cares. least in america anymore hell they dont even televise heavyweight fights hardly anymore. haye vs klit was a rare chance for the heavies to make news but vlad was boring and haye stubbed a toe. sorry guys the division is ****. put any journeyman fighter from the 90s like bert cooper or tommy morrison for that matter and they will show you more heart than most of these so called top ten fighters and I use the term fighters very loosely.

I think time will show Hayes return to lose to Vitali but then gaining a piece of the title after Wlad's retirement. I see Valuev coming back for 2-3 fights before losing to Vitali. Valuev's deal with King expires next month, shortly after the Chisora/Vitali fight. We could see a deal being worked out for a sunmmer clash after a Valuev tuneup.

I think if Vitali could add those 2, along with Chisora and maybe Helenius, fury or Mitchell, and those wins would certainly propel him into the top 10.

I currently have Valuev around 16-20, and his final loss left a bad taste for him and his fans. I gotta see him return, take that fake WBA strap back from Sasha, and pass it along to Vitali. Would be sweet.:yep

 

Its the quality of focus that matters for Vitali. He is active as a champion, fighting two or three times a year. When he preps for a fight, he will put in a good two months, and stays in reasonable shape in-between fights.

 

He still needs to KO valuev.

 

Valuev is free of his DKP contract next month. And Vitali, ready to hang em up any time, could sign Valuev to a 3 fight deal pitting him against Ustinov or one of K2 cans or negotiating for a fight with the winner of Potvetkin/Huck. K2 has the $$$ to sign Valuev, and he's only 38 so essentially SNV could add 5-7 fights to his own legacy. He could beat guys like Wach, Ustinov, Fury, Price, Thompson, Bozwell, any 3 of them other big men, then take a fight with both brothers.

He never made more than 700K with DKP(?), and if he signed a 3-5 fight deal with the K2 he could likely get a mil+ for a fight with Sasha and possibly 2 mil each for a fight with Wlad or Vitali.:thumbsup

 

Valuev fight is nr 1, would be a great achievement if Vitali would KO Nico. Then maybe haye, though I'm not really excited so see his ****** british ass running around the ring for 12 rounds, waiting for the final bell.

 

Vitali should become the president of the Ukraine. Valuev the prime minster of Russia. And then both make a comeback and fight on the red square in Moscow in front of 200,000 spectators.

Would put Ali-Foreman to shame.

Vitali should retire and let his brother unify.

 

The day Vitaly retires, the HW scene is basically worthless.

He is the only true great we have had for many years. And when he retires he leaves a huge gap - only partly covered by his brother.

 

Why?

Unifying doesn't mean much in the heavyweight division right now because we know that Wlad beats all the other challengers. The only way it would be worth Wlad unifying is if he was to do it by fighting Vitali, which will never happen.

If Vitali retires, then what? The gulf between the top two and the rest of the division means that Wlad would just fight someone he has already beaten, or someone he would almost definitely beat and he's picked up Vitali's old belt. It's not exactly anymore of an accomplishment than doing what he is doing right now - beating everyone in front of him. It would just mean that he adds another title to his collection, inherits even more madatories and pays even more in fees.

Sure, it might be nice to say he has unified the division, but the true glory in unification is to beat the other recognised champion - but because of the KBros unique circumstances that can't happen.
