i was up until late last night waiting for his fight.2011 was a bad year for Rigo-all doors closed for him- but like he said himself last night: i just got them open starting 2012.
Ramos was scared from the beggining, reluctant to engage and intimidated by Rigo's power the very 1st rd. Rigo is a counterpuncher,he is not used to chase people around, he rather them to come forward. But with Ramos he has to be the one leading the attack. He didnt waste punches, he stayed in the center of the ring and from there was inviting Ramos to engage who never got the memo.Meantime Rigo was reading Ramos style, aware of his power, and evaluating the right time for his final assault.
Finally Ramos tried some exchange and still shy was letting his hands go.
And Rigo capitalized in a master performance.
ramos was not a bum, he was a champ.Ramos has power.Ramos has skills. Some people were mention when Ramos KO Rigo while sparring at wild card.Last night was not sparring, last night was not a rumor. We saw it live on TV.
Nobody beats Rigo at 122.But i'd love to see him against Nonito.

I think Rigo should take out Nishioka next, and then fight Donaire. Great performance from him last night.

Japan would be the only place I could see the fight happening. I dont think Guillermo would have a poblem with travelling over though.

If necessary he will travel- he already went to Ireland to face their champ-but promoters get a lit nervous when they go abroad. If he can get good fights in US he wont be traveling any where.
    possible next opponents?
Nonito- will be protected by Arum
Arce- his style fits Rigo just perfect,a nice target coming forward.
Abner-could be interesting if he moves up, still Rigo is the fav
    Marquez- way past his prime
Agbeko- if moves up, but Rigo brutalize him
Darchiyan-will be too litle and too open for Rigo
    Montiel- see Darchiyan
Vasquez Jr-let see what happen against Nonito
Cordoba- hasnt fought since losing to Rigo
who else in town for a good fight?

if i was arum i'd keep donaire away from rigo. i think rigo should fight someone like Montiel or marquez to raise his profile, or try and get a unification fight with ndlovu. this would give donaire time to fight nishioka and he should face the winner...

i thought he looked good last night. not great becease Ramos never really got into the fight, i actually think he faked his KO, he didnt look in pain or anything but i still give him props for taking the fight. Rigo has a great style, looked fast and sharped, make nonito vs rigo!!
