Well yeah that's nothing new. But there's an easier method they could have used to verify - ask Floyd. Also another method to (un)verify- Floyd denying it publicly.

 

So what you guys are saying is that Mayweather wants to cut Arum out of the picture? Guarantee Manny's purse like he has done with Ortiz and keep the business model that he has. In which he puts up all the money up front for the fight and takes back all the revenue.

In other words Mayweather would put up all the money up front but Pac wants a split of the revenue which would make sense why Mayweather says that can't happen if he is the one putting the money up front. And would also make sense on why Arum was looking for investors to put money up front and have the fighters only get guaranteed purses and maybe a small % of revenue. But is something that Mayweather would never agree to since he would lose out on a lot of money.

So what do you guys think a logical and fair conclusion would be to get the fight made? Have Arum and Mayweather both split the up front money. Arum can gurarantee Pac's purse and Mayweather and Arum can split the Revenue with Arum giving Pac a % his revenue?

Fact is Pac wants to fight Mayweather when he is in jail

Floyd's assistant has denied it.

If it's enough that Ariza, Roach, Arum, Buboy, his wife can all speak for Pacquiao and it taken as gospel, then Floyd's own assistant, who seems to have had a good track record so far in accurate reporting, denying it should be good enough for most.

Maybe he's wrong, but i'm not convinced, seems all too strange that Floyd's gone to all of this trouble to price himself out of the fight.
