Rigondeaux vs Donaire @122lbs now, who wins and how ???

Impossible to say since Donaire has never fought at 122.

I would pick Donaire because I've been calling him as a future HOF'er for a few years, so obviously I believe he is of the finest caliber of fighters. I think his best weight in retrospect will be 118, but expect him to still be P4P elite through 126.

As good as Rigo looked against Ramos, it appears everyone has forgotten about the fight with Cordoba.

 

No we haven't, and we haven't forget the one against narvaez and Concepción, when anf if they meet it will b a different kind of fight all together, I think just by mentioning Rigondeaux as possible opponent for Donaire with only 9 fights, speaks alot alot the quality of the Cuban.

 

I'd say on the surface it looks like Donaire takes this,but I've got high hopes for Rigo and he's pretty unique in that he's not battle-worn the way most fighters his age are.If it happened next week I think you'd get a good price on Rigo and I'd have a punt on him.

 

And I'm pretty sure if Rigo defected after Sydney he'd have had plenty of pro fights.
He only defected in 2009 for ****'s sake.Can't understand why people complain about the number of fights he's had.

Rigindeaux simply won't be active enough against someone like Donaire. I think Donaire's power will stay at 122 based on the fact that his power comes from timing and form rather than strength.

 

Confidence is big weapon one is actively looking for the fight the other dreaming to move up.

 

I respect Rigondeaux, and picked him to beat Ramos. Donaire is a differene beast altogether. We must not forget that Ramos won off a very opportune punch during a fight he was losing.

 

after donaire beats rigo it would be just another "donaire is taking on midgets" case.

Has ugly, tactical, counter-punching fest written all over it.

Rigondeaux can prolly get a decision against Donaire though, he is unusually quick and sharp.

Rigondeaux style is already developed and has been for a long time , if you want to see a boxer who really knows his boxing DNA that's Rigondeaux , HE IS A COUNTERPUNCHER and he knows it , that's why you see him so relaxed on the ring , using his jab as a screen , just to keep the distance so he can unload his left hand , etc but I agree he needs to realize that this is pro boxing and go outthere and give us a show . A boxer with all that talent and power should not be shy on a ring , I as a Cuban understand and like what he does in a ring but many fans don't , they want to see a brawl so they get bored when they see a boxing masterclass . Rigo needs to do what he did to Ramos in the first but do it more often , I had the impression he could have finished Ramos a lot earlier had he wanted , he needs to attack more IMO , he shouldn't be worried because his defense is first class ( even better than PBF ) , I can't see anybody counterpunching Rigo , that's all he needs . But let's not forget that this was only his 9th fight , little by little he's getting to grip with the pro game , how it works , the importance of the fans , the importance of a good show , etc . We are looking at an extremely talented novice boxer ( in pro terms ) literally growing up before our eyes and picking World titles in the way .! F###king amazing ! . Peace .

 

I forgot to add that Rigo can fight Nonito next week and still will take him to school , there's no comparision between the two . I'll say Rigo by KO/TKO before 5 and I like Donaire , it's just that as a boxer he's not on Rigo's level . Peace .

 

I think rigo gets the edge when both fighters showcases all their skills in the ring
but I'll be rooting for Donaire.

Both fighters has good chances against each other.
