"This is ridiculous, another ridiculous excuse, that we would need more time to promote the fight. How much damn time do you need? This fight has been talked about for 2 years now," stated Ellerbe

"He (Arum) has said that this temporary stadium would generate $60 million, so if you do the math on that, that would be saying that the average ticket price for fans would be $1500 a ticket for some bleacher seats, I repeat for some bleacher seats, out in the middle of a dusty parking lot with temporary bathrooms. And this is the funny part, the farthest seat would be 100 yards away, the length of a football field," A smiling Ellerbe would tell Boxing Scene.com

"We don't have no wiggle room on our date. May 5th is our date and it is what it is. So imagine the likelihood of this temporary venue that Mr. Arum is talking about not being ready. So that would mean that we would have to move the date. Oh by the way, Mr. Mayweather has to surrender on June 1st, so therefore we couldn't do a fight. Imagine that," Ellerbe explained.

Floyd is annoyed he doesn't have all the power in the negotiation.

The fight has to be 50/50. They're both equal in star power. If manny agrees to may 5th and MGM after having no say in it, he still deserves 50/50

:-(Floyd is so full of ****! He has been playing so many stupid head games. He's going to jail! He has such a big ego that he thinks he deserves more money than Manny? Please fool, Manny is wanted all over the world. He can fight anyone he wants and make plenty of money. Mayweather fights once a year, and sucker punches at that and he is trying to call the shot Hmm....seems to me he really doesn't want to fight Manny. He's on a deadline, not Manny. He should have let Manny and his promoter know he supposedly had the MGM on reserve for a fight specifically vs Manny, the dumbass thinks he rules the world and everyone has to accept his stipulations. No mayweather you idiot, you don't control anything. Manny is the big sell not you. It's the promoters job to make as much money for himself and his fighter. Mayweather is a dumbass for not giving a 50/50 split. What's he afraid of. So far, he has came up with so many damn excuses not not to fight. Drug testing, Venue, money, and so on. He's full of ****. He can fight in late may and take a 50/50 split and the fight's on, but no, he's full of ****. Manny will move on and make millions while mayweather sits in jail. Dumbass Mayweather!!!!!:-:)-:)-:)-:)-:)-:)-:)-(

It's hilarious to see how Floyd fans denied that Mayweather would say that and now he admits it, they move the goalposts yet again.

    Shameless fanboyism.

Let me tell you this. The first 16,000 seats will be priced a little lower as what it will be at MGM Grand and the remaining 24,000 seats will be priced a little higher on what is most affordable to the fans. Now tell me if the net revenue of the bigger arena will not be higher than that if held at MGM (already deducting the construction cost).

I think Arum mentioned it's possible the construction cost be shared by 2 big events.

Floyd knew that if he forced a May 5 fight and the venue Pac would get something in return. You can't blame Pac for wanting 50/50 to begin with but by expediting the fight because of Floyd strict timeline due to his legal problems doesn't mean Pac should lose out on millions with a rushed promotion. This fight needs a mega promotion that is on level with the fight itself.

At least their talking directly with each other.... That's the first sign in a long time that they're finally negotiating the right way.

I'm a fan of Mayweather but...

    I remember something like this:

Mayweather: Yeah I contradicted myself, I'm human. We all do.

Doesnt that apply to Manny too?

Exactly..... Floyd is throwing his weight around which I get....but he has to stay in his lane and play his position. With Pac he's not going to have it ALL his way like he's at the shutter King drive through... He will have to give just as much as he takes unless Pac backs down which won't happen.

"Pacquiao’s pair of 2010 fights sold 92,728 tickets, an extraordinary number for boxing. The two bouts in Texas likely generated a combined paid gate of approximately $13 million, given the ticket pricing structure for Pacquiao vs. Margarito. That’s only about $2 million more than the paid gate of $11.03 million for the Mayweather-Mosley fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas."

The only thing is how sure are you that the outdoor arena would do that well with the incident happening in Indy whos to say that people would pay that kind of money to sit with those accomodation.
