That's an overly simplified way of looking at it. You can only jack up prices so much for non-premium seating, and then you end up with empty seats in the rafters.

We all know projected availability will increase the price of these tickets exponentially until it gets to the point where the seating doesn't justify the price and you'll end up like a lot of big events, with priced out seating and giving away tickets at the end.

    MGM isn't a problem.

Nope. In my first post on this thread, I already mentioned construction cost. I even mentioned that Arum said the the construction cost be possibly shared by 2 big events.

Nah.....not for this one... Regular folks can catch it on PPV or go in with some friends to watch it live from the comforts of an overcrowded home. Josh vs Pac was a fight that was affordable for the average working-class American... But Floyd vs Pac is like Ali vs Frazier or Leonard vs Hearns, Duran or Hagler.

Pimps will be out in numbers for this one and their stable of ho's will have they evening off.

Nothing is wrong with the MGM in most cases but this is a very unique event that requires more thought in putting this together.

Let's assume there's unlimited seating capacity, how many persons do you predict will watch this super megafight live at the venue?

they can easily fill the 16,000 capacity for MGM. so what they could do is jack-up the prices to get more revenue. the can build a 40,00 seater for a fight which has a huge demand. they can actually charge the same amount for the same seating position as they are in MGM while adding more income for the extra seats.

    :patsch

Telling a journalist a month ago he would be willing take less when no contact had yet been made, no details of what each side wanted,

    vs

Telling Floyd to his face on the phone it had to be 50-50 when negotiations got under way after all the details had come out of the date and venue each side preferred

    &

the OFFICIAL statement on his website January 12, with Pac quoted as saying it had to be 50-50

You're hanging on to a cracked branch with that irrelevant December journalist's quote

I agree though about both sides using every opportunity to jump on something said to avoid the fight, exactly what Floyd is doing here, and what no doubt Arum will do in telling Floyd to **** off with his demand.

He told him directly. "To his face" sounds better and better illustrates the gravity of that conversation compared to the irrelevant December statement these guys are clinging to

Ok let me settle this also. This is why I believe Floyd isn't completely wrong to ask for more than 50/50:

Imagine you're Floyd in the scenario

Pac: yeah I really want the fight very bad. I'd take a smaller cut just to get it made.

Floyd: Ok, lets fight then on May 5th. I get more money though since you already agreed

Pac: Oh no, I want 50/50

Now Floyd is thinking (based off his post and tweet) that you said you'd take less before just to fight me, but after I said lets fight, you change your story. Are you trying to fight?

If he already knew beforehand that Pac would be willing to take a smaller cut, then of course he'd ask for it. BUT now that Pac is saying 50/50, I hope Floyd agrees with it and just lets the fight gets made. I know Pacquiao said before he'd take less, but Floyd needs to just move on off of that and accept an even split

Depends on the price. Can't answer that.
