There's one hardcore boxing fan from the UK who said that ticket price is not an issue as long as he can be accomodated in the venue and watch the fight live.

With only 16,000 seats, his chances is slim.

Las Vegas has high rollers and rich tourism that generates a **** load of money annually. The demographics I was speaking of in comparison was that of TX. I was making a point of the significant difference in the buying market from LV to TX which has everything to do with overall revenue and what you can charged for that market. Feels lime I'm VA k in school.

    Co-sign.

The winner should get the bigger piece of the pie. It's called rewarding performance.

    negotiations back in late 2009
    floyd's camp: 50/50
    pac's camp: 50/50

    now:
    pac's camp: 50/50
floyd's camp: you can take less than 50

It has nothing to do with who is fighting. Because YOU just compared Pac/Clottey to Pac/JMM in the first place...

It's the principle, which is true regardless of if it is Senchencko vs. Malignaggi or Ortiz vs. Berto II.

As it was broken down before. Ticket brokers are the ones who buy majority of the tix in order to resell them at a higher price. They would have to convince the ticket brokers on the pricing.

It also went from yea the 40,000 seats will be great for the regular joes to attend the fight. To its okay cuz high rollers will still pay to attend the fight even if they are in the nose bleeds. Now all of a sudden we care about the extra money these fighters are making by overpricing.

50/50 shouldn't be the reason the fight gets killed just like a new stadium with expectations that might not be met should not be the reason the fight don't get made. How could any of these guys be willing to not fight and make tons of money just because they are trying to make tons and tons and tons of money. Is that worth not fighting at all?

Floyd actually wanted more than 50/50 back then, but he agreed later on to it.

floyd is in no position to ask for a higher purse back then especially when their last fights (floyd-jmm 1.05M buys and pac-cotto 1.25M buys), pac outsold him. but pac's team agreed to a 50/50 cut.

floyd is even not in a position now to demand more since in 2011 (floyd-ortiz 1.25M buys, pac-mosley 1.2M buys and pac-jmm3 1.4M buys) pac outsold floyd also.

this fight screams 50/50 and floyd is making this fight harder to make by moving the goal post once again.

Go back and review the postings on who compared Pac/Clottey to Pac/JMM first then you can run after that poster.

    one month ago:
pac himself: "I'll take less than him to get the fight"
floyd's camp: hmmm, really? We'll hold you to it.

    Anyone can play that game...

This **** ain't happening in May unless they sit down and really negotiate... At this point this is another promotional ploy to keep the interest of the public. Floyd will fight a mexican on May 5....Pac will fight Cotto on June 9.... Floyd will do 60 to 65 days and we will most likey see this fight at the end of the year.

Just in time before the end of the world...12/21/12:|:|

I get "you people" confused. Sorry...

Still, it's the principle, which is true regardless.

Floyd's fanboys on ESB are a joke. Nothing more. Total embarrassment. HOw they defend this women beater, and now this charade Floyd pulled, is beyond me.

Except Floyd made no mention of wanting more than 50-50 till after Pacquiao told him personally it had to be 50-50. And he told it to Sportscenter :-(

ya I'm not even that upset about it because I think this can be worked out relatively easy. I thought Floyd was just being a dick asking for more money like he sometimes does, but if he did it under the impression that Pacquiao was already down to take a smaller cut, then I don't fault him as much.
I think he'll agree to a 50/50 especially after all the work he went through this past month just to get the fight
