maybe his ppv numbers weren't so hot in the Marquez fight?

I haven't heard anything about manny pacquiao being angry with less than half yet. It sounds like bob arum so far.

Same reason why Floyd was OK with a 14 day cutoff, and later would not budge from OSDT all the way up to the fight. They showed good will and that they were willing to comprimise to make the fight. When it wasn't reciprocated, it was taken off the table. Similar, except purse splits are negotiated in every fight, OSDT was a Floyd creation for this fight. Floyd should not have demanded the date and venue if the purse split was his major issue.

Anyway, Pacquiao told Mayweather directly in their phone conversation that it had to be 50-50, Floyd himself said that in his email to ESPN. I don't see what the problem is. It's an act of desperation going back to that month old quote by a journalist. It's irrelevant. Just an excuse by Floyd to weasel out of the fight, and for that he takes all the blame.

Pacquiao released an official statement last week on his website after Floyd's twitter outburst demanding a May 5 fight, and went on to tell Floyd personally that was his stance in that phone call as reported by Floyd and ESPN. They're the statements that hold.

Most people saw his OSDT as a way to NOT fight, and to try and look honorable and like he was trying to do good for the sport. It was a ploy to stay out of the ring w/ Pac. And this bullish should make it even more obvious. Of course, his most fanatical defenders will NEVER admit any of that crap. ****in punks..

But you think its ok for pac to offer less than 50/50 "to get floyd to fight" then turn around a say i want 50/50.

45/45 and the winner takes the remaining 10%. Only fair. Both sides can quit their bitchin.

So maybe PAC changed his mind if indeed he was willing to take a lower purse, but fact is PBF has changed his brains at least 5 times. So what? PAC deserves just as much as Floyd...so what's really wrong with that?

Difference being Mayweather changed his demand after he fought Mosley and in a whole new set of negotiations, Pacquiao said he was happy with a smaller share 2 months ago.

Not that it matters, Pacquiao picked Cotto as his opponent weeks ago.

I really don't think Pacquiao is smart enough to have come up with that plan.

People really don't understand negotiations, do they? Money has always been talked about in CLOSED DOORS, not in public. This is how it has always work and that's it always will be. Whatever is said in public about money, take it with a grain of salt, cause that's how much it's worth.

This fight has to be split at 50/50. There is no other way. Anyone asking for more is pricing himself out.

TEAM MAYWEATHER DEBUNKS ARUM'S EXCUSES; REITERATE
    This content is protected
AND READY TO GO ON MAY 5
    By Ben Thompson | January 19, 2012

That was a week after Team Pac's statement saying that they were set on 50-50.

No issues from Team Mayweather on January 19. Pac made the statement on January 12, 2012, I think.

Pac on January 12: “There’s no problem with me as long as it’s a 50-50 split.”

    But...but...but

Sad sh_t. A final, desperate ploy. I see Fight Hype has huddled with Mayweather, it appears, and are trying this final public relations Hail Mary.

I can't believe Team Floyd blew this. Unreal.

So after all the crap that has come out from Arum you choose to focus on this single issue coming from Mayweather. Not even mentioning the fact that no negotiations(that we know of) are even taking place. You know. Negotiations. Where disputes over money can be addressed and possibly be worked out.

Got to disagree there. Mayweather is the one that came up with another demand to complicate things more.

Doesn't matter what Arum did before.

The final roadblock was put up by Mayweather. And then his team apparently lied about Floyd "not" sending the email.

Floyd killed the fight, or ducked. Whatever you want to call it.

Fight Hype, in my opinion, is permanently damaging themselves by trying to run with this last piece of utter bullsh*t. I doubt anyone will take them seriously now. Team Floyd/Fight Hype apparently either think no one has tracked their BS, or their audience are morons.
