Barrera is working the body nicely from outside. Singleton is standing firm, leaning and ducking to a bit to either side when Barrera is throwing combos and forward to grab when he finishes. Barrera is throwing jabs from outside, luring Singleton into doing the same. Neither connects, but Barrera is setting up his right hand and landing with it to shake Singleton's dreadlocks up in the air. Barrera throws a left and gets it twisted around behind Singleton's head and spun around. Barrera lands a hook-2 combo as Singleton pulls back. Lots of rolling and squirming away by Singleton but not much punching back. Just some chops over the top as they come together. Singleton circles out, left hand low at his side trying to look slick. Barrera opens up with a right hand and lands a jab behind it, a bit unorthodox. A 2-1.

Round 5

Singleton is trying for a 1-2 from a few feet away, often letting the jab wander high and then pushing the cross over to the body. It isn't landing very well. Barrera is backing up but not getting caught with much. Clinch. Long one. Barrera eats a right hand. Body shots by Barrera. Singleton puts a jab up into Barrera's face and then clubs over the top with a right, landing more with wrist than anything. Grazing hook by Singleton. Barrera misses a jab and spanks Singleton with a right to the back of the hip. Singleton ducks through a Barrera jab and chops away with some wild slapping lefts and rights. Clinch, and Singleton works his right hand on the inside in short hacks.

Round 6

Singleton has the wind knocked out of him by a Barrera right hand to the body. Singleton pushes up a jab that drives into Barrera's nose from underneath and they collide into a clinch. Barrera has a wide left hook checked but lands his follow-up wrecking ball right to the body. Lots of clinching. Singleton is flipping his braids out of his eyes, but not doing much punching. Chopping shots by Barrera coming forward. Clinch. Both do some work while clasped together, tapping each other on the side. Barrera boxes in Singleton's ears as the latter bends forward and falls in toward him. Singleton keeps flipping his hair and trying to land a long right hand. Singleton leaps in with a hook, too far out. Long 1-2 to the body by Barrera diving down, then straightening up and landing a right up top for good measure. Another clinch. Barrera tries a combo but is grabbed around the waist and nullified.
