Trust these old-timer lover fools to wait till Haye and Valuev retired before posting this

With the ATG quartet of Klits, Hayemaker and Sugar Niko heading today's list - 90s list suddenly doesn't look so good

haye who has a handful of fights all against guys within 2 years of 40 years old and getting shut out in his defining fight... yeah that looks good on the current scene with the rest of the guys below the top 2.
and valuev was a pathetic joke with not a decent win in almost 50 fights....

it happened to be a magazine that was closest to my reach....
it was a comparison to then and now, or would you rather more mayweather -pac threads or vitali vs haye threads....
you newbs need to learn about something other than what you have witnessed before the klitschko era..apparently thats all you are aware of

The 1990's were a great time for HW boxing, I think the Klits would hold their own against some of those fighters, but almost everyone else in today's top 10 would get beat.

The 1991 ratings have alot of Americans in it, so Americans would say 1991 because they know who they are and would have watched them and become fans.
Holyfield was always a HW that I admired and probably my favourite HW of all time, but I think except for L Lewis most of the 1991 team would struggle badly with most of todays HWs.
The problem with today is that between the Klitschkos they have cleaned out the division so now they are fighting fighters that arent too far above prospects and fighters being rushed because there arent too many new challenges for them

Yes of course we must all be children because the predominant topic of our threads in the General Forum are fighters who haven't retired yet. This isn't the Classic forum.

    You presume too much.

Eddie Chambers hasn't fought in nearly a year, so he'll be dropped out of the Ring rankings soon.

Some very good HWs coming up now: Price, Glazkov, Perez, Mitchell, etc.
