"There's not much to say about Jon Jones. I don't see any Brazilian in conditions to face him, even more so because Brazilians don't tend to completely study what happens in there, there needs to be more studying done by the Brazilians in that division so that they can understand what really is going on in there. But it's hard for me to say this, because I'm Brazilian and I wish there was a Brazilian with the conditions to beat Jon Jones, but, this is a personal opinion of mine, I don't see anyone in Brazil that can beat him, at least not for now." – via BloodyElbow.com – translated by Tom Mendes.

Cigano would knock Jones out at heavyweight IMO.

Basically. He's been doing that ever since people started calling for it. He even called out BJ Penn instead. What a ****ing banana skinned ***** :-(

He's ruling himself out of the light heavyweight division because he's competing in the middleweight division :good

Not sure if we should appreciate Silva openly bottling it. At least GSP has some tact in bottling a showdown with Silva!

FYI - BJ would fight Silva or Jones and even have the balls to come in out of shape

Blame it on Dana. Silva said it himself that matchmaking is not up to him but his boss. I'm kinda shocked Dana won't make it happen. He certainly didn't have a problem throwing Couture in with Lesnar. There was a tremendous size and age difference between the two.

how is that racist? last i checked a banana was yellow.

but on topic maybe Silva is thinking of retirement already or maybe he just feels himself slipping, who knows but he doesn't seem as confident as he once was in his abilities.

    :rofl

One of my favourite things about BJ Penn is that he has the balls to fight anyone while knowing damned well that his conditioning is terrible and he'll be completely out of gas 3 minutes into the first round.

Dana is enjoying a time where 145, 170, 185 and 205 have solid champions who are all very famous and dominant. I don't think he wants to break the mystique surrounding each of them. 125 and 135 are developing while 155 and HW can be too and fro' BUT they are stacked so if the champs lose it will be to other marketable fighters.

Not sure how much weight hopping amongst the best we will see now adays. Back in the day, it was the need to put on big fights but the roster keeps getting deeper so weight jumping may become rarer and less supported by Dana.

To be fair weight jumping by champions has always been rare in the UFC. BJ Penn had to force them to let him challenge St. Pierre and Couture's moves in weight have always been when he's been without a title. And to me that's good - you don't want the lower weight classes with numerous breaks in their lineages because fighters move up.

And it has to be asked why would Anderson move up? Sure vs. Jones is a big fight but I'd imagine Sonnen, Bisping and Vitor do better than anything else he could do a light heavyweight with the possible expection of fights against Jackson or Evans. And the Evans fight could always happen at middleweight should he choose to move down if he loses to Jones/Davis.
