    Article by Steve Kim:

    http://www.maxboxing.com/news/sub-lead/if-you-build-itwill-they-come

This is interesting for 2 reasons:

    1) Uncle Bob had Zero intentions of letting this fight happen on May 6 or even June 9th. He wants this fight to happen in November (Probably because he thinks PBF will not be the same after his Jail time, if he wants to ever let it happen)

    2) The "Stadium" he wants to build is a ****ing shithole! Pot-a-potties on the "outside", no concessions . . . seriously how in the hell is this going to generate $20-40 million extra? This has to be a joke right!?

If its PBF position that he wants more than 50/50 (while I do not agree with that stand) it is not like he is saying that he does not want the fight to happen (just that he wants more money). This is a far cry from the position of Arum who does not want the fight at all.

Personally, I think PBF stand on the split(if true) is opening position in negotiations. The Best Date on the boxing PPV is already booked (Bob wanted Pac v JMM4 on that date if PBF was behind bars) and so is the best Venue in the world for boxing (that Pac has fought his biggest fights in (Oscar, SSM, Cotto, Hatton, JMM3, Morales1).

Uncle Bob, even though he constantly said all PBF has to do is call, was pissed when he found out that the two fighters actually talked. I guess He was afraid if the two fighters actually talked at length his lies would come undone. Ultimately, It is without a doubt Arums intent on this fight not happening anytime soon. How can anyone make a fight when the other side has zero intention of listening? PBF has been calling out Pac by name before JMM3 and has done everything on his side to make things happen. I think Pac would take the fight but everyone around him (including roach) does not want this fight to happen. I think Bob has sold him on the idea of letting this fight needing to "build up".

To be fair both sides are trying to do what they feel is in their best interest. Boxing is not only a sport but a business and how these guys make a living (with a very sort window to make as much as they possibly can).

The actions of Arum in the last few weeks/months makes it 100% clear that if this fight happens it happens the way he envisions it. (probably when he is ready to cash out on Pac). The OSDT (that is a not problem now, but was a problem 2 years ago for some reason) was an easy scapegoat block the fight. Other mega-fights have had ground breaking stipulations in the past (Tyson/Holyfield, SRL/MMH). Since PBF is good at playing the villain it was easy to shift the blame to his camp.

So everyone can say what they will, it is Arum and only Uncle Bob who is to blame for this whole mess over the last couple of years:deal

    Neither did Floyd.

    Neither did Golden Boy.

The reason Arum wants it in November is cause he doesn't want Pac to fight in a venue on and on a date that's been reserved and signed for by Golden Boy promotions without the involvement of Top Rank.

definitely since he is a total *****, floyd should have accepted 50/50 though, that was weak.

I'd honestly love to see a total boycott of the pair of them. It won't happen but wouldn't that be great.

They clearly don't give a **** about the fans who make them rich. So **** them.

 bobtards seem to forget Arum did the exact same thing, reserved the cowboys stadium for a given date giving an ultimatum on the venue and date to floyd. :nut

Pacquiao was willing to take the lesser split then went back on it...?
If floyd agreed to 5050 there was still the date which was always arums last line of defense....

He would have never let the fight happen may 5th

Hes acting keen on the fight now wantig to sign a contract for nov all of a sudden which makes him look good but floyd would only be out for 2 months and wont get a full training camp

Common pacquiao fans i think we all want both fighters tO come into the megafight as good as they can be to illiminate stupid excuses ...

Theres nothing wrong with a fair fight

Completely agree with this. People here were pretending they'd be loads of luxury boxes and that's where the $1000 a ticket average was going to come from. No way is this generating a gate that much bigger than the MGM Grand.

This is exactly it. You dont give your highest price you'd pay on a car or house right off the bat, you certainly dont tell Bob Arum you'll take 50/50 right away because then he will be cutting up little side streams of revenue all the way down to the ****ing concession stand sales he was bitching about to get himself more than 50 percent.

Arum hasnt said **** about the split being an issue, he has still been going on about his stupid stadium and June as of yesterday. He also said 'lets negotiate for november'

He knows Manny will loose to floyd and he doesnt want to give up his cash cow. What makes him more money, a fight with PBF now and Manny loosing and manny being a low draw in late 2012 or Manny fighting Cotto now and JMM 4 in november? The second option.
