sergio and oscar are close in size. oscar was only 34 when floyd fought him and sergio will be older (36) if they fight this year. it would be harder for sergio to make 150. why not fight sergio at 154 where sergio has stated is the lowest weight he can make?

Sergio said he would be willing to burn himself down to 150, that said it is still bull**** and from what ive seen the Floyd fans have called out on it being 154+ or no fight

Mayweather looked slow and lethargic vs DLH. Can't see him weighing in at 150lbs or above again.

Sergio himself came up with the 150lb weight...sort of how Pac himself said he would take less than 50%...why does Floyd get blamed for everything around here?

Floyd has no reason to go beyond the weight he's comfortable at. The 154 bout against Oscar was a one-off that ensured a belt, huge payday, and a super-star status.

Does Martinez bring any of that?

    No.

    To gain a tactical advantage?

I wonder from whom he might have learned that trick?

Martinez can make 150 with comfort.
Still a ***** move by Floyd.

he initially said 154 and it's more logical that he asks for this as compared to 150.

it would already take away much of the size advantage if they fight at 154. and floyd has the upper hand in skills anyway. this is a winnable fight for floyd at 154.

my point is, arum seems to be adamant that he does not want the fight to made this may, instead of floyd taking on another hyped up young hungry lion, he might as well take a very good challenge in sergio.

Floyd had no power against Oscar...he trained at 150, but because he is a natural ww, he came in the ring at 147...it would be dumb for him to take that chance again...and accidentally come in the ring weighing 147 against a guy who is weighing 170...Floyd would be trapped in the ring with a lion foreal

tons to his legacy. he's already a superstar and filthy rich. no loss can take that away.

now what fight at 147 and below for floyd will get you all excited as much as this?

Tactical and because Oscar was a massive draw. Sergio, wrongly, because he is a very good fighter, isn't as big a draw as Mayweather. So Floyd can call the shots. Against Oscar he was on an even playing field draw wise.

The thing is, dude, gone are the days where fighters would fight the best at almost any weight to prove their worth.

The only thing Floyd cares about in regards to his legacy, is maintaining that 'O'. Martinez at 154 is just way too risky.
