If Berto wins he probably becomes one of the most likely guys to face Mayweather in May but I don't think GBP does an Ortiz rematch if he wins. The ending to that first fight left a bad taste in people's mouth.

I agree totally with you. I see Ortiz KOing Berto late. Not as exciting as the first, but still gonna be a great fight.

You look very confident young padawan...

But you are wrong. Berto wins it (easily I might add...)this time.

Ortiz took Berto's legs away in the first round but Berto still managed to almost knock him tfo in the 6th.

Watch for ANdre to avoid the first round fiasco on the rematch.

    Berto below 7.

Berto is a DiBella boxer, so I doubt it.

what was entertaining about floyd/ortiz beside floyd landing lead right hands right through victors guard with ease....besides floyd once again dominating a guy punch stat wise and basically showing a guy that he wasnt in the same league....besides a guy weighing 165 on fightnight trying to push floyd into the ropes so he could try to land a shot...then resorting to trying to headbutt him because he was very frustrated that he couldnt land anything signifigant....????

hes also an al haymon boxer

dont forget how haymon had berto step aside so floyd could get shane first after shane was coming off a big win

lou would love to get a percentage of bertos career high payday

THIS IS NOT FAIR TO FLAIR! ;)

It's not DiBella that'd turn it down. Golden Boy is just going to keep the money in-house. The only way I can see them making that fight is if Golden Boy is able to convince Berto to leave DiBella. Mayweather is not going to step into the ring with a fighter that's not promoted by Golden Boy and is thought to be a live dog. Ditto Pacquiao and Top Rank. Anyone that's watched these two for the past three years should understand that by this point.

On Berto stepping aside for Mosley, look at what that's done for Berto's career. He has Chad Dawson Syndrome: no one will pay to watch him fight and for that reason he could've used the lift a Mosley fight would've done for him. The first Ortiz fight didn't move tickets, and no one's buying tickets apparently for Ortiz-Berto II even when they had the great fight last year from Steve Kim's article today:

to get an understanding of who floyd would fight i think wed have to closely examine floyds relationship with golden boy....no one really knows complete details but they are used to promote his fights....but he isnt owned by them.....i think he could go outside of their roster of fighters and they couldnt do much about it....theyd still make money off of him if they helped promote it.....

as far as berto...i doubt hes complaining much...hes been making some real good money for his hbo fights...haymon has him getting some good dough whether or not hes well known outside of the hardcore audience

yeah, i was thinking to myself "damn, victor looks lost in there, he dont know what got himself into" it usually takes longer for floyds opponents to mentally fall apart but i guess experience helps with that

Floyd definately wont be fighting Ortiz whether he wins or not. that comment about trying to break floyds nose didnt sit well with floyd. Ortiz is a nutcase and i doubt floyd will ever give him another payday

If he does fight Berto, this is the first time ever that Haymon fighters have fought each other. IIRC, they don't fight each other. The opposite of Top Rank fighters.
