P4P was invented just to make the little fighters feel important too, since generally speaking "the baddest man on the planet" is a Heavyweight. It's also wide open to subjectivity and bias for a particular weight.

Just out of curiousity ... How the hell do you differ top notch left hooks from each other in a objective way? At best, you should be able to get a list with boxers who are comparable in ability.

Wlads left hook is incredible sharp and fast for a SHW, and he has the power that goes with it. Floyds must be faster, but thats no surprise since he is in a lower weight class. And I am sure he sets it up in a better way. But again, he aint leaving people cold on the canvas. So to say who is the best, you have to get subjective.

 

Ok Floyd Patterson's left hook is faster and better :roll:

 

ok I'll explain why Floyd's left hook is better. Floyd sets his up better and is able to land it consistently throughout a fighter. He can lead with it. Throw it to the body and double and triple it up. Even quadrouple

He can use it to counter over jabs (see Judah fight)
He can use it to counter guys lounging in (see Hatton)

he can also turn his jab into a hook better than Wlad can. Watch the Marquez fight. Floyd basically fought the first few rounds with his just left hand. Not to mention the speed on it. It's not more powerful p4p, but it's sharper, more accurate, faster and more versatile

 

From what I have seen of Donaire he is mainly an orthodox fighter, but can switch a bit.

You are confused. You cannot have 10 "the best" left hooks. "the best" is singular. There is only one and only. Wlad's left hook is "the best".

So? How effective Floyd left hook would be against Chambers or Austin? I bet Wlad's left hook would be really effective against Marquez.

 

Re-read TS post. Where does it say that Wlad has "better" hook that anyone else? He said Wlad has the best and the most amazing and powerful left hook ever. He does not compare it it to anyone else. He simple states his opinion.
