    Facebook page is now up and running. Search 'Canastota Calling - induct Jimmy Tibbs into the IBHOF' and you'll find the group. Will be great if everyone can get involved!


    Personally, I think if Jimmy was American, he would have been inducted a long time ago. Ben has pledged to set up a facebook group dedicated to the movement (when he creates one, i'll post the link in this thread).

    If you feel Jimmy deserves to be included in the HOF, it'll be great if you could get behind the campaign by simply 'liking' the group. I've decided to add a poll to this thread, just to get the conversation started.

    British trainers aren't in your face enough. American trainers become celebrities in their own right (Steward, Roach, Mayweathers etc) but the Brits don't.

    Watch some tape and you'll be suprised to see who Tibbs has been involved with in the past.

    completely agree with this point.

    It is more of a personality contest rather than a boxing one in terms of trainers being inducted. Hopefully that'll change

    Tbh the life he's had and way he changed it through boxing and to develop many champions domestically as well as world champions he really deserves this accolade.

    I think he should, he has done extremely well and has brought the best out of his boxers and exceeded the potential of some of them as well. A long time and successful servant to the game I see no reason why Tibbs shouldn't be inducted.
