I think it would be a competitive match because Cotto will not be intimidated by PBF coming forward like Ortiz and Mosley were.

I do think Mayweather would win a very close UD.

If cotto can keep the jab going and do work to the body like he use to do the fight will have intresting moments. but Floyd will be to fast for cotto when cotto trys to rush in. and unlike Pacquiao Cotto will get picked apart if he tries to slow down and box with Mayweather.
But honestly i think Cotto-Mayweather at 154lb is a more competitive fight then Mayweather-Pac.

Speed is the difference in this. Mayweather is too sharp for Cotto IMO, but I do think Cotto could have success early with his jab. But as soon as Mayweather takes it away/Cotto neglects it, Mayweather will start ripping him with his straight right/left hook. Mayweather has the snap on his punches to reopen previous cuts and injuries on Cotto's face.

Interesting bout IMO, and I still want to see it.

Floyd wins by TKO 8. Cotto's face will not hold up after 7 rounds of lead right hands and counter punches. I see Floyd setting up traps all night.

Floyd gets a UD, probably wide too, but it's not going to be like against Gatti. Cotto is way too skilled for that.

You don't have a clue kid. Not even comparing him to Gatti you ****ing ****. You do know that the Bruseles fight was suppose to be a lead up to the Cotto fight since they had similar styles. Mark my words that Floyd will dominate Cotto if they meet in that ring. You can add me to ignore all you want. You said you would add me to ignore when I said Marquez would beat Manny too. Go **** off and step your post game back up bc you have been a C- level poster since your God was dealt with by a 77 yr old Marquez. :good

What is this? No form of Cotto EVER hangs with Mayweather. If you wonder just go see Cotto/Judah.

Cotto is the type of balanced fighter that needs someone to engage. He isn't quite fast enough to snipe fast guys. He is skilled enough to evade crude brawlers. His conditioning is good also. He doesn't have enough in one category to give Mayweather problems in any category.

Would it be a fun fight that I would watch? Sure. I can't see what Cotto brings that would make him anywhere near expected to win though. Below 147 Mayweather possibly stops him. Above 140 Mayweather out boxes him. In both cases dominating wins.
