well, he cheats in every possible way in the ring, so I wouldn't be surprised if he does it out of the ring. But he's Hopkins, so everyone gives him a pass.
Of course it's possible. In this era of sports, if it's too good to be true there's a very good chance it isn't true. Nobody is above suspicion.
In my mind I'm absolutely certain Hopkins takes PED's. He was the only person on the GBP side of it to publicly voice he was on Pacquiao's side of the controversy over Mayweather's demands for OSDT. Hopkins was supposed to be on Mayweather's side of it as his company was representing him. At the very least he could have just kept his mouth shut about it, but I have no doubt he voiced his support for Pacquiao's stance knowing he himself could be called upon a PED test by a fellow competitor, and it did later on against Pascal and all Hopkins could do was smile and laugh cheapishly as Pascal challenged him to take additional and real drug tests.:-( You see, now nobody could say to Hopkins, "you were representing Mayweather and asking Paquiao for additional PED tests, now you dont want to take one yourself." Hopkins covered his bases well when he publicly supported Pacquiao's stance and and called Mayweather's move a "***** move."
I think it is very disrespectful to talk about fighters taking PEDS for no reason that what you think you saw. You wanna talk PEDS lets look at Toney, SSM, RJJ etc and wonder why we even respect them as fighters when their whole legacy should be questioned.
If he is taking PED's, he's taking pretty shitty ones. He can't hit as hard as he used to, has less stamina, is weaker in the clinch than his opponents, and has to micromanage every ounce of energy he has to make it through a fight. Typical symptoms of steroid induced success
Dude has to be taking bioidentical test along with other hormones, dhea, hgh; he may not be taking a steroid per say like the clear, trenbolone, or deca... but sorry, whole foods and supportive nutrition while being a staple and a requirement to be anywhere near his shape, but are not isolated factors for his decades younger ring speed. he has hormonal help as well. Nothing wrong with that at all in my opinion.
Of course it's a real possibility but I chose that he got to where he's at based on his clean lifestyle and hard work. Everyone in all sports could be doping but not everyone is like people want to make it seem. Unfortunately even those who are subjecting theselves to Olympic testing or Olympic style testing aren't anymore or any less under suspicion. Just because someone is all for extra testing doesn't mean anything...all it means is that they could know what Olympic athletes know who undergo FULL Olympic testing are still beat them easy.
I thought it was a poor attempt at mindgames from Pascal but I only saw one small article about it,and it was more an opinion than an actual report. I say no and I don't think there's a load of contrary evidence. He's very economical with his energy and I certainly don't think he's improved.
He doesnt hit as hard as he used to. His stamina has declined. His reflexes have declined. His skills have eroded. Yes, he is on roids.
