Well, the weight theoretically favors Cotto a tad. I think Cotto is competitive for a while, then Mayweather beats him badly and forces a corner stoppage or knee by round 10.

    :think...nope.

This will be a great fight, and had it happened years ago would have been even better.

If you say so. There is a reason Cotto's team said he wasn't ready for Mayweather and if they fight you will know why. It would be a shut out and a stoppage. Willing to do any bet you want if they decide to fight each other. :good

Floyd's shoulder roll is best at taking away the left hook to the body and head. In the orthodox stance the best punch against the shoulder roll is the feint down straight right up top. its what Mosley, Castillo and DLH were able to hit Floyd with. Neither of which were able to land the left hook with any constant success.

Cotto's jab is overrated. Floyd took away Oscar's jab. Taking away Cotto's would require no great feat.

    Floyd TKO 10.

I'm a bigger fan of Cotto, but I think he gets embarrassed against Floyd. Please don't make this fight.

Mayweather either a late TKO or a shutout UD with a battered and bloody Cotto. Cotto can in no way win. He's too slow to get through Mayweather's defenses and gets picked off all night.

Unlike the early rounds of Pacquiao / Cotto, early rounds against Mayweather will be boring as Cotto swings and misses. And then as Cotto tires Mayweather starts banging.

floyd beats anyone from 140-154. in my opinion martinez is more of a threat to floyd than pacquiao, provided he isn't weight drained.

There is no evidence to support this as a Gatti-Mayweather type of fight. When was the last time Floyd did that to anybody? Yeah there is a reason
Cotto's team said that, that reason is Bob Arum. Dont get me wrong either, I am not saying Cotto beats Mayweather. All I am saying is that Cotto definetely has enough to make this an entertaining fight. As for your bet...I dont bet.

Ture but before mayweather makes the adjustment mayweather is going to get pushed back to the ropes by his jab.

I agree but not the way you mean.
Whats going to happen is cotto is going to get mayweather to the ropes through a whole bunch of shots that will get blocked and the crowd will go crazy. after the fight people will go watch the replay and see how out classed cotto was.

Slow like Juan Luis Castillo right? Styles make fights. With the right style and gameplan a speed differential can be nullified.

I see what you mean. I believe Cotto would try and get on the inside and make this a very rough fight for Mayweather. Maybe he gets outboxed, but Cotto would make it an entertaining fight and worth the watch.
