Cotto would not even beat Canelo he'd be ko'd

Drink the haterade much bruh? Maybe you should step in the ring with the "shot" cotto. You don't have to like any fighter, but at least give them their props. Canelo IMHO is much to green for Cotto. If they were to meet, expect 12 rounds of what Margo got instead of 9. Then again, Canelos liver might not last 12 rounds.

where's your evidence for him losing to canelo? any specific BOXING reasons why? and not just who he lost to, and who he beat, and how good they were? or are you just going to curse and type in caps until your unfounded opinion is considered fact?

Miguel ¨pega como niña¨ Cotto doesn't belong in the same ring with Floyd or Pac or any top P4P, he has looked pretty average against mediocre opposition lately to even consider it. With two functional eyes and a non bribed doctor, washed up Margarito would have put him on his knees again, plaster or not

And Canelo would KO him silly. To think people here says that Canelo isn't a good enough rival to challenge Floyd, yet Cotto is... Absurd!

Current Cotto is just a washed up guy with a big name, like Paul Williams

Canelo is harboring Grade AAA China in his Chin, he has no defense, and is a brutal KO waiting to happen. Cotto would shatter his Glass Jaw.

 

Huge Cotto fan here: Miguel would need to fight the perfect fight to beat Canelo. It's a longshot, but could be done. Gomez was able to move in and out on Canelo and hit him pretty often, so Cotto should be able to do the same.

However, when Canelo decides to hit the gas and amp up the aggression, Cotto will be in trouble. Personally, I don't see him sustaining a long offensive onslaught if he gets cornered or against the ropes and given Cotto's long established history of fading down the stretch that is likely.

 

I'm not sure where people find this faith in Canelo. The man had trouble putting away Matthew Hatton...a guy who was outweighed by 15 lbs. Took 6 rounds to get Gomez to blink the wrong way and get a hometown stoppage. Looked half decent against Randy Rhodes.

So again...who has Canelo dealt with to say yes...let's pit him in there with Manny, Cotto or Floyd...oh yes...that's why...nearly being KO'd by the lesser Cotto brother. Who was also a weight class or two out of his league. Right. Okay.

I'm not saying it'd be an easy fight for either guy, but no one gets finished early or easy if at all.
