FFS there is nothing but a bunch of pansy ass paper fighters in here. This is boxing where men fight each other! Fights aren't won on paper. If Floyd is too good for everyone, why continue fighting? You so called "fans" don't want to see Floyd do **** since all his opponents are beaten on paper.

I've never seen so many people whine about a proposed fight that is pitting top fighters against each other.

You guys after all of these years still bring up Castillo, WHO LOST btw. How about somebody more recent, you know like somoene who has fought the current version of Mayweather? Bringing up Castillo is as stupid as someone bringing up Singsurat as a reason Pacquiao would lose.

I'm not saying Cotto can beat Floyd, but what makes everyone think that there wouldn't be a plan in place.

:goodAgreed! This is about as close to the truth as it can get. These are two top level fighters and in the ring anything can happen. History does not lie, because its full of upsets. Thats why we watch.

The fighters that came closest to beating Mayweather were De La Hoya, which I had at 7-5 being generous to Oscar. And the Judah fight, which was 9-3. Now both guys had something over Mayweather, De La Hoya was bigger and stronger and Judah was faster, and for a time that worked.

Cotto is not really bigger than Mayweather and is not faster. He's shorter and has a shorter reach.

Mayweather by UD, Cotto's defense is questionable

Most people can agree that lightweight was Floyd's best division. So no, its not like comparing Pacs loss which happened before he even met Roach. And the point I am trying to make is that speed, which Floyd had probably more of in his Lightweight days did not stop Castillo from making it competitive. And i know Castillo lost, but thank you anyways.

Unless he has the best possible night with a newfound passion, I see Floyd getting a clear decision. Cotto had the offensive willingness and hunger back in 2009 to make it competitive behind his jab and pressure, but that seems to be lacking of late, as well as he is boxing.

Who the hell would say Lightweight was his best division? he spent 4 fights there. His best division based on simply accomplishments would be Super Featherweight where he cleared the division out completely.

Okay, well that further solidifies my point. Floyd was a far superior fighter @ the time of his fight with Castillo, compared to Pac and his fight with Singsurat. Pac was nowhere near his prime during that time in comparison to Floyd. Can you agree on that?

Cotto isn't any bigger (size not weight) than Marquez, just as slow but with inferior boxing ability.

He's going to be taken to school.

Cotto can't outbox PBF and he can't KO him either. PBF beats him in a one-sided affair. Different level of boxers.:deal

What about it? Cotto did better against Judah then Mayweather did. Judah had like 2 competitive rounds against Cotto and then he got dominated. Judah actually outboxed and tooled Floyd for a couple of rounds and made it competitive for at least 4-5 rounds.
