That is not Mayweather's style. Don't confuse him with Pacquiao.

Except Pac was moving up 2 divisions/13lbs, after just having moved up from 130.:patsch

Oscar had also fought at 150 that year and had a fight scheduled at 147 anyway vs Floyd :deal

This is similar, but worse for Floyd, as he will putting on 4lbs while Sergio is forced to lose 8-9 lbs.

Sergio will also be older than what Oscar was, and hasn't been that weight longer than Oscar hadn't fought at welter.

Do your homework son, sergio fought at 150 lbs in 2003 against a guy named Frank Oppong so that makes it 9 years the same years since oscar last made WW:smoke

    you're wrong dude,lol

    DLH-
    2001-03-24147Arturo Gatti146

    2008-12-06145Manny Pacquiao

    That's 7 years, 8 months and a couple weeks

    Sexy Serge
    2003-05-09150Frank Oppong150ΒΌ

That will make it almost 9 years for a May fight, 9 1/2 for a Nov./Dec. fight

It a stupid fight to take for Floyd, which he should know by now since he loves to degrade Pac's win over Oscar.

Gander thinks the only A level fighters in the world is Mayweather and pacquiao. He thinks Sergio is B level

Almost similar to when Pacquiao fought DLH @ 147 in 2008.
Seems like we'll be starting to give each other's proper credits with these kind of fights from now on.

With that said, Pac gets pretty much zero credit for the Dela Hoya win.

It was more of a money fight that made him a PPV star.

The guy was old, shot, and weighed 145 (a weight he hadn't weighed in, as you said, for over a decade). And I believe there was also a rehydration clause, making it even worse.

When listing Pac's best wins, Dela Hoya is very low on the list.

Looks like catchweight fights are starting to become acceptable for the fans this time.
    How so? :think

So does that follow with Mayweather's win over Martinez @ 150 as well?

BTW careful with the word 'OLD', Martinez is older now

Surely he thinks Marquez is A Level.

The guy beat Pac in the eyes of at least 75% of people.

I know he scored the fight for Pac (duh, of course), but still, he would have to agree that it was very, very close.

But yes, there's a lot more A level guys out there outside of Pac and Floyd.

But when you're talking about an irrational Pac fan (I stay away from the word "*******" as much as possible), they really only follow boxing because of one particular boxer: Pac.

People rate him in the top 20 of all time  These people, to use an ESB cliche, DKSAB.

Floyd v Martinez is a lose lose situation for Floyd.

Floyd would get no credit for the win, irregardless of how Martinez performed at the weight.

So yes, it does follow Mayweather's "win" over Martinez at 150.

The fight should be 154+. If so, it'd elevate Mayweather quite well on a top 50 pound for pound list, despite Martinez not being an ATG himself.

Wait, Sergio is the one begging for the fight and Sergio is the one that stated he will come in at 150.
