    Back in fricken 1992 :yikes:patsch

Go to 5:14 in the video.

This here is just sad to watch. This man was thinking about retirement 20 years ago and he's still fighting today. I understand he may have some financial trouble now, but it's sad to watch him go on still.

Holyfield will fight till somebody brutally stops him. Same goes for Mosley.

Jones may well fight till he gets damaged beyond repair.

This is a sad part about Boxing, guys can't let go of what they were, and except who they are.

You got my hopes up when I read the title, only to crush them when I opened up the thread. Too bad. Evander's closing in on his 30th year as a professional fighter. Hopefully he chooses easier opponents to make some cash because I don't want to see him in against the better fighters.

I guess just like the old men who wait until its too late to retire from their jobs, some people become what they do for a living.

  6. Holyfield has nothing to be ashamed of. He claims that he has enough money and he has been making business deals for the last few years. A guy like him will find a way to make money. An amazing cruiserweight and an amazing heavyweight. He is 50 years old and a tremendous physical specimen-in better shape than any younger fighter. He is still strong but the reflexes go as you get older. I think he can still beat guys but taking those shots is not good now. He should retire. He's been in quite a few wars.

Toney's another one. He'll fight on until the commissions take away his license or until he suffers a terrible knockout loss. It'll be a sad day to see guys like Toney and Mosley get stopped for the first time.

Holyfield's ultimate goal is to become The Fifth Times World Heavyweight Champion. That's bull****! He will keep beating some no name fighters before taking the World Title Shot again. What a load of crap!

There'll come a point where a no name fighter beats him, Sherman Williams was on the way to doing it and Evander knows it.

did you actually sit through it? I haven't been able to watch Holyfield fight in a long time, they are ridiculously boring.

Ya it even seemed like Evander was considering retirement after that fight because he was close to being in trouble and the way it ended, but then he goes on to KO his next opponent and I knew that wasn't going to be any good :-(

No pal, I don't put myself through that, I actually refused to watch Roy's last fight for the first time, I even watched him take on Lebedev.

If he needs money, he should do a retirement tour, fighting Stiffs like Mike did. He wants the belts though, which can only lead to him getting hurt.

That's the problem buddy, he'll convince himself he had an off night, and use his next performance (was that Botha?) as validation. God knows where he dug Botha up from. Lost for words really, I don't have their perspective obviously but how stupid can you get to keep putting your health, and your life on the line.

I agree. I guess the best RJJ can do at this point is a 9.99 PPV
