I wonder if Frankieboy is DeGale's manager too? There aren't many things you can praise about Khan's business dealings but having his own manager, however incompetent he is, is a better idea than having a promoter/manager. The conflict of interest is massive.
Yup, I just see another poster say that and i agreed it was a good point which I didnt think of before hand. I heard that Mitchell is still waiting to be paid for the Murray fight, and others have said Frankie Gavin is still awaiting full payment. But these are only rumours
From a business standpoint, why? He's got no fanbase, he's generally unpopular, looked bad in his last two fights, and demands much more money than he's worth. Why would Hearn waste time with a primadonna who won't generate much return? I think DeGale has put himself in a really bad position with his arrogance since turning pro.
This is the problem. He's stuck with Frank unless he's willing to take a paycut and probably join the rank and file with another promoter. This could be said for all the class of 2008, they were put on a pedestal and paid funny money, now the **** has well and truly hit the fan they're goosed.
That's why i said take a risk, i think he may want to take DeGale it would hurt Frank and that's what Hearn will like.
There's taking a risk with a guy like Froch (no fanbase, but willing to fight the best and already locked into a good contract with a US network) or Brook (lots of potential, decent style and pleasant on camera), and taking a risk with a guy that pisses everyone off. How's he going to turn that ship around?
