lets talk china and boxing

    Can anybody kindly enlighten me on the state of boxing in the worlds largest country.

    Seems they have had great amatuer success with the likes of Zou Shimming. However, the pro scene seems to be stalling.

    If my memory serves me Don King had his eye on the chinese scene and promoted a fight with barrera a few years back but I have heard little recently.

    Do you think there is any chance of china becoming a major force in professional boxing. I mean with the rich martial arts background it seems to be a perfect place.

    Which is exactly why boxing won't be big in China, It's more of a Western sport.
