If Cotto elects to fight Pacquiao on June 9th; Would that mean he ducked Mayweather?

No...But it would mean that Floyd ducked Cotto. Yeah, I think that's how the ESB logic works.

Only if cotto is available and willing and he picks an easier fight he knows he wins, if pac fights jmm and cotto picks berto over floyd for example then its such a move as well

Not at all; I'm not even Floyd fan. Just bringing up what I believe to be a valid argument and get people's thoughts on the topic.

That's what blogging is all about isn't it?

If he beats Floyd and takes his 0 I think most of the boxing world would consider that a better win then avenging a loss to Pacquiao.. In fact the public would DEMAND the rematch and it would make twice as much money as it would make now. :deal

Hopefully, that is how it will all go down this year. It would be nice to see these two primadonas removed from the throne(s).

I believe Arum has never wanted to pin any of his fighters against FMJ.

Bob knows how good FMJ is and is not willing to risk one of his prize fighters losing to a fighter who left his promotional company.

Cotto has a longshot at being an atg, he needs to pick floyd next beat him then avenge vs pac, if he somehow pulls it of he will be there, a p4p ranked atg foty superstar. He should really try it.

That's exactly why I think he should remain a free agent and make a 1 fight deal with GBP to fight Floyd.. I think win or lose the Pac rematch will be there. As of right now though; I think there is more interest in Cotto Vs Mayweather rather then Cotto vs Pac II
