Full Kenny Anderson v George Groves Press Confrence!

I was hoping to see a press conference and I walked into the ****ing camera club. :-(

I was sat next to Andersons bird (i think) and some of his family.....or something like that and mentioned i thought his ribs was goosed.....or his hand as it was pretty obvious to see.

Then lo' n behold they (his family members) came back from the dressing room to confirm that he has bust his ribs.

...........and a chuffed to bits Wee Hairy Jr decided to buy old Hairy a Pepsi

I fully expect Anderson to knock Groves out.
1st fight, Anderson was in control of Groves till he ran out of steam. Has Groves improved, impossible to tell tbh, but Andersons become more consistent both in training and activity.

I think Anderson is potentially better than both Groves and JDG.

Which of course had nothing to do with Groves battering him to the body. Oh wait...

Anderson's good, he really is, but Groves has obviously improved - his patience against DeGale and clinical execution against Smith shows he is. It's an intriguing fight.

 

Anderson was in control of the first fight?

 

this is the way i see it too. people seem to have forgot groves was in very deep water and struggling. whole fight he looked like he could be koed at any point. it was only as anderson gassed which may be due to the bodyshots that he started to recover and do some damage.

andersons stoppage was also very weak too. if he got stopped for that then groves should have already been stopped 2 or 3 times.

i think anderson will be fitter and better prepared this time and I dont see the huge improvements groves has allegedly made. he fought a fight against degale that was tactically astute but wasnt brilliantly executed. i thought he won. however i thought when degale unloaded he looked far better and more dangerous. smith should be at 160 and is **** and has been for a while so not paying too much attention to that win.

we dont need to worry about kenny coming forward and unloading as he will from start to finish and groves will look uncomfortable. groves defence is very shaky, specifically defending the right hand and anderson has hurt him before with that shot. i see a hard night for george and see him getting koed imo

to clarify , i prefer groves to anderson as I disliked andersons behaviour at first presss conference but this is the way i see it going.

 

He was for a part of it, Think round 2 and 3. Groves tactics for that fight were really bad.

He's got to fight centre ring, lead off. This fighting off back foot and up against ropes for a naturally fundamental fighter like Groves is not a good idea against a good pressure fighter. He was lucky to get away with his '0' that night he showed great heart but this time he's got to fight centre ring.

 

He wasn't in control of the whole fight though like some people claim. Groves will fight much smarter and stop Anderson late in the fight as Anderson will become reckless and try walk through Georges shots when he realises he can't get too him.

 

How is he going to fight smarter? What is he going to do?

 

Explain fight smarter? There's more to first fight then him just swinging and being clipped. Kenny's consistent closing of range and hurtful shots forced George into panic mode.

What do you see George doing differently? tactically and technically. To easy to say fight smarter IMO.
