Business involves a certain amount of risk 100% of the time. Contracts are in place to structure the deal and take into account every possibilities of "risk". The MGM is a good plan "B" should the unexpected happen. They factor **** like that for protecting the investors investments.

Lawyers, accountants and a slew of other consultants hash out the fine details before any papers are signed. And no money changes hands unless papers are signed.... Once they have a signature on a legal binding contract the wheels are in motion and the investor assumes responsibility for any risk, spelled in his contract for a chance to blow it out the ****ing water on his "gamble" that his investment pays off.

People, the "temporary stadium" is just an excuse by Arum to prevent the fight from happening.

When is the last time someone thought about building a "temporary stadium" to stage a big fight? 30 years ago maybe?

Everyone who thinks this is a viable idea beyond having the fight @ the MGM is just plain ****ing ******ed.

    Stop drinking Arum's Kool-Aid...

The temporary stadium is only an excuse if Floyd lets it be. you see.... If Floyd agrees to 50/50....that's no longer an obstacle or an excuse NOT to take the fight with PAC. If PAC agrees to May 5...that's no longer an excuse...

At the end of the day May 5 was NEVER an option for either Bob or Floyd. Floyd had his ducks in a row before making it seem as though PAC was his only option.

If Floyd really wanted to fight PAC he would have set up the foundation to hold "NEGOTIATIONS".

Not hold negotiations with HIMSELF...chose the date and venue THEN tell Pac to take it or leave it.

the response he expected from Manny after giving him the ultimatum wasn't a surprise to Floyd. He knew PAC wouldn't bend over and accept Floyd's demands.

But it did place the ball in PAC's court and made it seem as though PAC was the unwilling party for some who don't know the full situation or those who blindly ride for my boy Floyd.:yep

Floyd will fight whomever he chose to be his dance partner on May 5th...PAC will go ahead and fight on June 9th....and we'll hopefully see PACvsFLoyd sometime in spring of 2013.

To recap: Pac and his camp have created some credibility damaging, convoluted stadium roadblock with bogus projected revenue numbers just in order to get back to the 50/50 split that, by all accounts, was never really an issue until Pac publically proclaimed he'll take less just to 'make the fight'.

It's a classic case of 'hustling backwards'. And this lame applauds and defends it as some great tactic.

    Sad, sad, sad. :verysad

    BS.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that this fight will not happen. I used to think it was just Arum who didn't want to make this fight. Now I'm convinced it's both Arum and Pacquiao. Pacquiao will keep fighting ole men and no hopers - at a catchweight - until that inevitable loss comes. Once that happens, we will have no fight.

You *******s need to come to terms with the reality that Arum and, more importantly, PACQUIAO want no part of Floyd...

You *****s are just as bad as the *******s....which I'm not a *******. I just side with Pac on this situation and have since day one based on what Floyd has said and done over the last 2 yrs....but Bob ain't no better than Floyd....shame Pac allows Bob so much control that hurts the chances of making the fight. Bob wants to make the negotiation process as difficult for Floyd as Floyd wanting to it difficult for Pac and Bob.

So...you might be right...this fight may never happen... I hope you're wrong but you might actually have the most logical opinion on whether or not we ever get to see this one.
