Yep, and him leaving the Jackson camp before the lauzon fight didn't help. If it's one thing the Jackson camp teaches it's game plan/fighter IQ etc. and that's what Guilliard needs, not better striking or whatever reason he left that camp.

Agreed. I remember in one of his fights in between rounds, he said something about his opponent and Jackson immediately told him 'don't get cocky'!. Being cocky can be good in a certain degree, but this guy is cocky to the point of costing him fights he could have easily won if he'd followed a gameplan. He had the exact same attitude when he participated in TUF and he has the exact same attitude today. :verysad

And that's what's funny . How many loses will it take to get this guy down to earth? He has the talent to beat anybody but he also has the mentality to lose to anybody.

He was only training at Imperial part time before the Lauzon fight. Jackson was still in his corner that night. It didn't make a difference though. He came out against Roller and Dunham the same way the same was he did against Lauzon with his hands down and his chin in the air. The guy is ****ing incorrigible.

No, he doesn't. He has a horrific Glass Jaw and anyone with competent stand-up and a superior Chin can expose it. He also has no ground game and no Plan B when he winds up planted on the mat. He is overrated because he has flashy stand-up and he's athletic but those things only get you so far and they're completely nullified by the fact that his Chin and Heart are composed of dried horse ****. He is a joke.

In Dana's video blog you can see him posing for a picture with some chic.. All together Guillard is too tightly wound up in these fights.

He's never been TKO'd or knocked out.. You don't know what a glass jaw is.

He was dropped and put on ***** street by a Joe Stevenson jab and knocked senseless by a pawing left hook to the nose from Lauzon. He would have been KOed in both of these instances had they chosen to keep punching him rather than instantly submitting him. Getting flattened by a jab is the ultimate disgrace. He has no Chin. None.:lol::lol:

I agree. The people saying he could beat anyone on his day are being blinded by his flashiness. He has a dodgy chin, no heart and an awful ground game. It's the same with boxing fans saying Linares could beat anyone, it simply isn't true.

  11. From my point of view he was very nervous before and during the fighy. He was simply looking for one of those cheap 'win quick as possible' options.

Talented and athletic, with no fighting iq

Melvin is the same guy hes always been. I think when he put together 5 wins in a row people just thought oh **** hes improved in the needed areas now he can win a title but it was never the case. It was more of who he was fighting IMO the Torres fight could have went either way, Lowe is nothing impressive, the Stephens fight was also very close and no disrespect to Dunham or Roller but they are not elite Lightweights. Lauzon and Miller where step ups the best guys he had faced since Diaz choked him in 09.
