No you won't get that because they are a different level of boxer to Oscar. Hearns was just too big, too rangy and too good a right hand, Leonard too intelligent and well rounded, both just too good a boxer and too much for Pac. Not De La Hoya though. So your premise on Oscar winning is him catching Pac with a left hook? Against the best fighters he fought, who did he catch with a left hook enough to hurt them? Vargas, Mayorga..flat footed stationary fighters, easy targets with little movement and not much speed. Quartey..who also fought flat footed, threw one punch at a time in that fight..DLH hasn't beaten anyone either at 147 to show how he could beat a fighter like Pac, atleast not as the given some guys make it out to be.

 

That was Trinidad, Pacquiao is a different fighter. Guys like Cotto, Clottey and Margarito are more similar to Oscar's style than Trinidad was to Pac's, as ridiculous as that sounds. What's to say he wouldn't box Pac like he did Mosley the first time?.. you know Mosley being a LW and supposed smaller guy that went up to fight Oscar, like Pac would be. That would be more likely than Oscar trying to box Pac on his toes the whole night, and I don't think he could it consistently for too long vs Pac.. then it would be a battle of hand speed, footwork and lateral movement which Pac wins at his best, though Oscar was extremely fast in his prime but not as much at welter.

 

Have you not seen threads in the past that have had Pac beating or holding up against Hearns, SRL, Duran and others? Your misunderstanding the reason I bring up fighters like Hearns. Of course, Oscar would get beat by those guys. Are you kidding me about Oscar not beating anyone at 147 to make you think he can beat Pac. Pac is not a WW and has only fought very carefully picked fighters. His own trainer has been stating this. Pac would not just get beat from the left hooks, but Oscar's jab, combos, and right hand. Pac has no business at 147 unless he beats PBF and convinces many and myself he is a real 147 fighter. You don't have to be a big named fighter to get caught with that left hook. He owned 147 with Tito.

Mosley that fought Margo would not have...Mosley that fought DLH would beat Pac

Pacman beats any version of Hatton, Mosley gets KTFO if he stands and trade like he did with Margo instead of "running", Gets a beating from a prime DLH.:deal

 

When will people realize De la Hoya was a media made darling who never won the big one? How could his fight against Trinidad even be talked about as a good performance? Both fighters looked like **** in their fight, and both were exposed right after. DE LA HOYA NEVER won the big one. He was outclassed by Felix Sturm enough said

 

Oscar decisions Manny, Hatton doesnt get much credit for beating a past his prime Tszyu tho Kostya mightt of been favored, Manny probably decisions a prime Hatton or stops him late, and Mosley that kod Margo he still opened too much for counters and ddoesnt have the IQ of a Marquez. Prime Mosley matched Pacs speed and had more one punch power than Pacman. But even the faded version that beat Margo wasnt as fast as he used to be. Manny decisions that version too.

 

Oscar at 147, who actually boxed instead of brawling, can beat him.
Mosley would give Pacquiao hell at any weight but i am leaning on Pacquiao since Mosley is a brawler.
I don't know about Kostya.

 

Oscar beats him, Mosley is a little closer but still loses on points, Hatton gets beat again, but lasts mid to late rounds. With Cotto there isn't much diff.

 

I'd make that version of ODLH a favorite over Manny, the other two get blown the **** out pretty much just like it happened when they actually met Manny.

I still find it hard to favor Manny over a great, full sized, prime WW in spite of what he's done. I think it's prob more my fault than his.

Seems like Mosley was vastly overrated after his win over Margarito.
Sure Mosley was a great fighter before but he wasn't really that great during the Margarito fight.
He only looked good against someone with slow motion punches and so much limited fighting skills
who only knows how to engage in front of his opponent - perfect style for Mosley!!!

Even the current Mosley can still do that to any version of Margarito.

Nah, it's just the same. Hatton just really walks thru punches from any opponents. In fact he just really walked down Manny's punches in their actual fight. It just isn't a good idea. Now let's get out of this out of prime excuses.
