    that's what I mean like

    and yeah Louis, Arguello.

If you want to show someone how to GENERATE power then the answer is Ruben Olivares. When I used to box, this French dude who trained at my gym, showed me something about how turning the knuckles at the optimal moment when landing a punch generates a lot of power. If you put your fist just by your chin and then turn it quickly so that it taps you on the chin, it sends a shiver up the side of your head. If you do that to someone else at the point of landing a full force punch, you're in with a chance of rendering them unconscious. Some people have natural power, like Julian Jackson, they don't need to do this, because they're just freaks of nature. Apparently Thomas Hearns for example though, had to channel his power, and the footage reflects this.

If you watch Ruben Olivares, he is the perfect example of generating power, he smashes the **** out of people and his knuckles are turning right as the bombs land, the rsult is him blasting the **** out of opponents left right and centre.

Best heavyweight before or after any time. Joe Louis would've taken everyone. He'd have taken Ali twice on a Sunday.

Yeah, I always think that. Mayorga's style goes against everything that is taught in gyms around the world, but it's effective, particularly against the stand-up boxer type who needs to control range and ryhtm, like Forrest and Piccirilo.

to be fair watching those highlights, his movements were so economic, and precise....a beauty to watch way ahead of his time...the main problem is his opponents look stiff, and you to wonder hoe he does against guys from 60 onwards who had size and skills.

Billy Conn, Ezzard Charles and Joe Walcott are the complete opposite of stiff.

And, again, Galento was NOT his era's Butterbean!
